Question: Are you supposed to throw away the marinating afterwards!?
I just marinated some chicken: some Garlick and Herbs, Salt and pepper with lemon juice!. But don't know if you are supposed to wash it throughly after marinating it or grill it like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No - don't wash off the chicken!. You can pat it dry w/ paper towel if you are worried about the marinade scorching or preventing good browning!.

Discard any extra marinade because it has germs from the raw chicken & was everything well w/ hot soapy water to prevent cross contamination!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grill it with the marinade still on it - if you haven't just left it all out at room temp!. But you're not supposed to keep the "raw" marinade because the meat juices have blended in to the sauce but it hasn't been cooked!.

So grill the chicken (or other meat) in the marinade sauce, but don't keep the sauce for future use!Www@FoodAQ@Com

the point of marinating meat is for favorite to penetrate the meat and if you wash the meat you are taking the favorite away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't wash the marinade off the chicken; leave what's sticking to it on there!.

Don't reuse the marinade for anything unless you bring it to a boil first!. It's got raw chicken juice in it right now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No do not rinse the chicken, unless you are afraid there may be to many flavors!. In that case then give it a quick rinse!. But 99!.9 percent of the time just go strait from marinade to cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't wash the marinade off the chicken!. But don't save the leftover marinade cuz it's got the raw chicken juice in it !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

throw away the excess marinade from the bag!. Put the chicken on the grill with all the goodness! I just makes for a messy grill but it adds flavor!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always do especially with chicken, because of the blood seeping into the marinadeWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you want bland dry chick, plzwash off marinade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
