Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone By Deborah Madison-this book is a bible!. It has AMAZING recipes using seasonal ingredients and a deep sense of respect for food and how it is handled and grown!.

Cooking from the Hip - Cat Cora - wonderful fresh tasting recipes with a focus on Cat's greek heritage!.

Recipezaar - a wonderful online resource of literally hundreds of thousands of recipes from all types of cuisines!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am with Sue on this - as far as I am concerned, my 1965 Better Homes and Gardens is worth more than my diamond engagement ring!. I learned to cook out of it and I routinely buy the current BH&G cookbook as wedding shower gifts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The Fannie Farmer Cookbook!. It's actually cracked in half!. I use a lot of my Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines, too!. Mostly though, I cook from memory, or whatever I think will be good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook 1965 edition!. This is the one my mother in law gave me as a wedding present!. After nearly 40 years it is getting a bit too stained to read most of the recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The Processor Book by Norene Gilletz
also Second Helpings by the same author!.

Seems like all of mine are from the Company's Coming series - especially casseroles, sweets, muffins, appetizers, vegetables!.

Bob Sloan's "Dad's Own Cookbook!." It has easy recipes for basic American comfort dishes!. For baking, I have a Betty Crocker cookbook from the 1950s (the same one my mom had; and from which I learned to bake)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its a toss up between Betty Crocker and Better Homes and Gardens w/ The Joy of Cooking a close 2nd!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
