I keep Burning my good steak on the Gas BBQ, Advise Please?!

Question: I keep Burning my good steak on the Gas BBQ, Advise Please!?
Every time I get a rib-eye or a T-bone, I put it on the grill, sear both sides and come back a few minutes later to see that the juices dripped down under the grill and `catch fire, causing the steak to burn!. This never happens with the cheap steaks, and It is bothering me!.

Has this happened to anyone else, or what am I doing wrong!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Lower the heat, but also try moving the steaks!. If your grill has dual burners close the lid and move the steaks to the side that is off!. If not find a cool spot!.
Another thing you can do is get these briquettes that look like charcoal and they lay above the flames and get hot on gas grills!. They last forever and disperse any grease fires so your food is less likely to burn!.

Trim your steaks of the fat on the outside of the steak!. When the fat melts, it causes the flare ups!. Good steak has marbling, but the marbling won't cause your steak to catch fire!.

also, nothing is better than searing your steak over the high heat!. The sear will help keep your juices locked inside, so don't turn the heat down!. Just don't leave!.!.!.stay nearby so you can move the steak if it flares up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you have to learn your grill, on gas grills there are hot spots, so once you find them, don't put food on that side or make sure that you always have that area on the lowest setting!. I know that the right far side of my grill is a hot spot!. So if I put food on that area, I have to turn it quicker then the other food and then I have to keep moving the items around, letting them all get a chance on the hot spot!. So, you may have different settings the middle may have to be on medium and the other dial may have to be on low!. When you learn your grill everything will work out great for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Firstly, don't ever walk away while your steak is cooking! It only takes a minute to turn that expensive T-bone into a lump of inedible charcoal!. Fill a small spray bottle with water and every time there's a flare up, blast the lava rocks where the fat landed!. To cook steak at medium rare is approximately 2 minutes per side; 4 minutes isn't forever and your steak will turn out much nicer without being burnt to a crisp!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use a grill pan - that way the drippings won't catch fire!. Actually, I like that flavor - I just don't go away and leave the grill unattended!. Youse can learn to tell by sight when it's done and take it off before it burns!. T'other thing to do is raise the grill further from the heat or turn the flame down!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are putting sauce on the steak before you start grilling you should wait until a couple minutes before the steaks are done before you add the sauce!. The sugars in the sauce cause the steak or anything else to burn quicker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your mistake is going away! It's the amount of fat!.
Steaks have to be watched, lovingly, & moved out of harm!.
Keep a spray-bottle of water handy for controlling flare-ups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put the heat on the lowest setting and close the cover!. You need less oxygen in the grill for less flare up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get a charcoal grill!. Put the coals on one side and the steak on another!. Gas grilling is NOT bbq ingWww@FoodAQ@Com
