salt/pepper to taste
and any additional seasons yo want to add ( depends on your taste)
brown the meat
cook the veggie - microwave will do -
cook mashed
in casserole dish
add all ingredients together (except for potatoes)
add water if needed
then put pototoes on top
350 degree - 15 -25 minutes until potatoes are slightly brown on top

I use Hungry Jack instant potatoes, and I love them!. I use cow milk, soy milk, or rice milk, depending on what I have on hand!.
1!. Take a small bowl with a flat bottom and lightly dust the bottom with salt
2!. Fill the bowl halfway with very hot water--boiling or steaming!.
3!. Add a pat of butter or a butter substitute
4!. Shake potato flakes into the water while stirring until the water is absorbed!. Do this slowly so you don't overshoot the mark!
5!. Stir in the pat of butter or butter substitute!. It's been softening all this time in the hot water, but the firmer consistency will allow it to break up and mix in evenly now!.
6!. The mashed potatoes should be just a little too stiff at this point!. Add a few splashes of soy milk, milk, or rice milk until it's the perfect consistency, piping hot, and ready to eat!
There's a recipe with measurements on the back of the hungry jack box, but my family says I make the best mashed potatoes!. If you have some good seasonings, like the kind that come with bread dipping kits, you can experiment with some yummy variations!. Rosemary thyme garlic mashed potatoes is a wonderful comfort food!
Soy milk can be used ounce for ounce in place of milk in most recipes!. Sadly I can't find a substitute for cream yet!. My homemade ice cream is divine, but all I can make for my dairy-free friends is sorbet!Www@FoodAQ@Com
