Answers:
Keep them for only 1 or two days TOPS after buying!. To cook, rinse really really well!. If they have their 'beard' (rough, hairy bit on the edge of the shell) pull it off!.
In the bottom of a large pot with a lid, pour lots of chopped garlic, fresh thyme, fresh pepper, and two cups of white wine!. Add the mussels and cook on medium high until all of the mussels have opened up!.
Serve in a large bowl with another bowl for the shells!. Pour the 'poaching liquid' over the mussels and enjoy!. Serve with a nice bread to sop up the juicesWww@FoodAQ@Com

From the date of HARVEST (not the day you brought them!!!) a mussel's shelf life is 7 days MAXIMUM, provided they are kept in a brackish (brine) solution at a MAXIMUM temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit!. Traditionally, mussels are steamed in a white wine sauce, as previously noted by just about everyone else!. You can grill them, but be careful, as mussels can get quite tough if overcooked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They only keep a few days!. It is best to keep them on ice or store them in salt water with some cornmeal!. My favorite way to cook them is to steam them with white wine, garlic, butter, fresh parsley and lemon!. Just steam them until they open and then pour the steaming liquid on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im not sure, but my dad makes the most awesome tasting boiled shrimp, he boils it with a bunch of dill and its like a little bit of heaven but i also love sea food so yea!. but the dill really brings out the flavor and smells greatWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would not store them long, because they can die!.!.!.!.!.You can cook them on the grill!.!.!.My favorite is steaming with the garlic wine sauce!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
