BEER BREAD

3 c!. self-rising flour
3 tbsp!. sugar
1 bottle room temp!. beer (12 oz!.) (try Guinness Stout for dark, rich bread)

Mix together and put into greased loaf pan!. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour!. Brush with butter immediately!. Best cut into thick slices!. Good toasted!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If your are looking for a simple, delicious and SOFT home made recipe, here it is:

1 cup of warm water
2 T white sugar
1 package bread machine yeast granulated!.
1/4 cup of vegetable oil!.
3 cups of flour
1 teaspoon
1 t of salt
4 t of Hodson mill gluten (can buy at any walmart, its like a dough enhancer)

Directions:

Put the water, the sugar and the yeast in the bread machine pan!. Let the yeast dissolve and foam for 15-20 minutes!. Add the oil, flour and salt to the yeast!. Select basic or white bread setting, and press start!.

Note: If you want a really soft (almost like store bought bread) you must add the dough enhancer!. I have a bred machine and I love making home made bread!. I would not made bread without that ingridient!. Good luck and enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Light Oat Bread

INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/4 cups water
* 2 tablespoons margarine
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup rolled oats
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

DIRECTIONS
1!. Add ingredients to bread machine pan in order recommended by your manufacturer!. Use regular light setting!.


Amish White Bread
INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
* 2/3 cup white sugar
* 1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 6 cups bread flour
DIRECTIONS

1!. In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast!. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam!.
2!. Mix salt and oil into the yeast!. Mix in flour one cup at a time!. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth!. Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat!. Cover with a damp cloth!. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour!.
3!. Punch dough down!. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half!. Shape into loaves, and place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans!. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans!.
4!. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes!.


Honey Wheat Bread
INGREDIENTS

* 1 (!.25 ounce) package rapid rise yeast
* 1 teaspoon white sugar
* 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/4 cup melted shortening
* 1/4 cup honey
* 2 teaspoons salt
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 3 cups bread flour
* 2 tablespoons butter

DIRECTIONS

1!. Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/2 cup warm water!.
2!. Combine milk, 1/4 cup water, shortening, honey, salt and wheat flour in food processor or bowl!. Mix in yeast mixture, and let rest 15 minutes!. Add white flour, and process until dough forms a ball!. Knead dough by processing an additional 80 seconds in food processor, or mix and knead by hand 10 minutes!. Place the dough in a buttered bowl, and turn to coat!. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap!. Let dough rise for 45 minutes, or until almost doubled!.
3!. Punch down, and divide dough in half!. Roll out each half, and pound out the bubbles!. Form into loaves, and place in buttered 9x5 inch bread pans!. Butter the tops of the dough, and cover loosely with plastic wrap!. Let rise in a warm area until doubled; second rise should take about 30 minutes!.
4!. Place a small pan of water on the bottom shelf of the oven!. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!.
5!. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until tops are dark golden brown!. Butter crusts while warm!. Slice when cool!.


Fabulous Homemade Bread
INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 cup warm water
* 3 (!.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
* 1/4 cup bread flour
* 1 tablespoon white sugar
* 2 cups quick cooking oats
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 4 1/2 cups warm water
* 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
* 2/3 cup brown sugar
* 2/3 cup vegetable oil
* 10 cups bread flour
DIRECTIONS

1!. In the mixing bowl of an electric mixer, stir together 1/2 cup warm water, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/4 cup bread flour, and yeast!. Let grow for about 5 minutes!. It will bubble almost immediately!.
2!. Measure oats, 4 1/2 cups warm water, whole wheat flour, salt, 2/3 cup sugar, and 2/3 cup oil into the mixing bowl!. Mix on low speed with a dough hook for 1 to 2 minutes!. Increase speed slightly, and begin adding bread flour 1/2 to 1 cup at a time until dough pulls away from sides of bowl!. Humidity determines how much flour you need before the bread pulls away from the edge of the bowl!. It is normal for the dough to be sticky!.
3!. Place dough in an oiled bowl, and turn to coat the surface!. Cover with a damp cloth!. Let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size!.
4!. Divide dough into 6 pieces!. Shape loaves, and place in greased 8 x 4 inch pans!. Let rise until dough is 1 inch above rim of pans, usually 1 hour!.
5!. Bake at 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C) for 35 minutes, or until tops are browned!. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, and then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
