How to slow cook beef brisket?!

Question: How to slow cook beef brisket!?
Some of you may have seen my previous question!. I usually make beef brisket in the oven with lipton soup mix poured over it!. It doesnt always come out tender so i would like to take the advice to my last question and try slow cooking it in my crock pot (which i have never used) the next time i make it!. Can anyone tell me how to make this same recipe in my crock pot!? How do i know which temp or how long to cook for!? Do I just brown the beef, put it in the crock pot and pour the soup over it and cook low for hours!? Is there any point in which it will dry out!? Like, can you leave food too long in the crock pot!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You have it exactly right!. Pour the soup over it and put it in the slow cooker and leave it alone for about 5 hours! Even longer if it needs to get more tender!. You will know when it is done because you can out a fork in it and it will just fall apart!. I have left my crock pot on for over 8 hours before and when i got home the food was perfect!Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you get up in the morning, you can 1!. seer the beef 2!. not seer the beef!. Place it in the crock pot (slow cooker) and add just enough water to cover the brisket!. Add any seasonings you want!. Turn the cooker on high and walk away from it!. If you are home during the day: around noon turn it back to low!. If you are not home: then it is ok to leave on high, but turn it off when you get home if you are gone for 5 hrs or more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i never tried crock pot because my crock pot is not big enough!
i always get tender brisket by cooking it long and slow in a heavy duty stock pot!.
season the meat, brown well on all sides, remove meat add some oil then chopped onion, carrot, potato etc
add 1/2 cup red white to hot pan to deglaze it
return brisket to pan!.!.!.add 1 small can tomato sauce and cover with enough eater to sumurge the beef!.

simmer low at least 3 hours!.!.!.falls apart in the pot!
wine is key to making it really tender & tastyWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would season it with (garlic salt, season salt, black pepper)!.
Dip in flour!. Brown in oil in a skillet!. Then put it in crockpot on high with 1 can of beef broth and the soup mix!. If you are at home it will take 4 - 6 hours!. But if you cook it slow 7-10 hours it will come out perfect!.!.!.!.enjoy!. I like veggies so the last 1 1/2 hour cut carrots, celery and white potatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honestly a croc pot is the best invention out there!. There is no worrying about temp which makes it easy!. I put a roast in the croc pot with an envelope of onion soup mix and one can of condensed cream of mushroom!. I turn it on low (at about 8 a!.m!.) and by 6 p!.m!. its ready!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crock pot is fine, but you won't get the desired browning of the meat as you would in the oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will be the same, though you might want to cook the meat slowly in a little water and oil, then deglaze the crock and then add the mixture, pop the joint back in for a little while until the sauce has thickenedWww@FoodAQ@Com
