Cake baking HELP!!!?!

Question: Cake baking HELP!!!!?
I'm baking my daughters 1st birthday cake (for saturday) and i want it to be 2 different flavors!. my sister was telling me that i can get a cake divider and put it in the pan and bake both flavors at the same time in the same pan!. but i don't know where to find one of those divider things, would it be easier if i just got 2 square cake pans and put the cakes together after they are baked and cooled!?!!?!!?!

HELP PLEASE I HAVE TO MAKE THE CAKES FRIDAY NIGHTWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes, your way will work fine!. If you have a divider, great, but since you don't, use two pans!. Goodluck with the party!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I used to sell birthday and wedding cakes from my home!. People often wanted two flavors in one cake!. It is very simple!. Mix your separate flavors of cake!. Pour one mix on one side of the pan and immediately pour the other on the opposite side!. Note that a white cake mix is thicker than a chocolate!. Always pour the thicker one first!. Then you will get your half and half without as much running together!. It will not be a perfectly straight division between the two flavors, but no one will know once the cake is frosted!. If one side cooks a little quicker that the other, simply turn the oven down to 325 so that it will not brown as much, but it will continue to cook until both flavors are done!. It is really not hard at all!. Don't stress over this!.!.!.!.it is very simple and you certainly don't need a divider or any special pans!. I used 2 regular sized mixes for a 1/2 sheet pan!. Enjoy your daughters 1st birthday!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

well if you are good at folding, you could make an aluminum foil divider!.!. and place it down the center!.!. just long enough for pouring the batter, then remove it!.!. or
you could marble the cake!.!. pour some of the first flavor in the bottom of the pan, then plop huge ladel fulls of the 2nd flavor around on top!.!. and take a butter knife and run it threw like swirlling it (or not) and you will get a marbled look later of different flavors!. (thats how they do the choco-vanilla cakes)Www@FoodAQ@Com

the way ur thinking of doing it is just fine and with the way ur baking it u could even put a filing in the middle either store bought or made of any jelly just boiled on the stove top until liquidy enough to spread and thick enough to hold together
thats how i do my cakesWww@FoodAQ@Com

Another way would be to bake the two layers of a round cake, then cut the same size center from each one and switch them out before icing it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
