Does lactose "cook out" of cheese?!


Question: Does lactose "cook out" of cheese!?
Im trying to cook for someone that is lactose intolerant and I heard that lactose cooks out of milk and cheese and stuff if its baked!. Is that true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

absolutely NOT !.!.!. I'm lactose-intolerant and any cheese in food bothers me!. You can buy soy sliced & grated cheese though (in the produce section, usually near the tofu), and also Lactaid milk (tastes just like regular milk - right next to the other milk) !.!.!.!.!.Buy some Breyer's Lactose-Free Natural Vanilla ice cream if you want to make a big hit! It's WONDERFUL! !.!.!.!. lactose-intolerant people can usually eat yogurt though, so plain yogurt is a good substitute for sour cream!.!.!.!.!.feta cheese is fine to use; and I can tolerate fresh buffalo mozzarella too!.!.!.!.!.(btw: the Lactaid pills and drops to take don't work, if anyone suggests those:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
