Alcohol has no 'real' flavor and evaporates rather fast 98 o- 100oF
there are many other Flavors,,,, the tart or bitter of some vinegars of the grapes,,, and sweet caramels from the wood barrels!.!.
But the basics of all them is JUST water!.!.

There are many who CAN tell the flavor of Jack Daniels Sour mash BBQ sauce!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Alcohol adds flavor!. I don't know about substitutes, but if you are worried about alcohol content, the alcohol cooks out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
