Has anyone used preserved or pickled lemons in a recipe? If so-what do they taste like?!

Question: Has anyone used preserved or pickled lemons in a recipe!? If so-what do they taste like!?
I am making a roast chicken with preserved lemons in the recipe (chicken breasts with herbs and the lemons sliced on top)
Will they taste too vinegary or nice!?
Thanks!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

They will be mellow and tender adding an infusion of citrus to the dish!. It won't be at all acidy:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I ama former chef and like all have said there have a slightly sourish salty flavour, there packed in salt, I would be careful to limit the salt on the chicken you can rinse them a bit and chop them, and in Morrocan cooking they are used in many dishes, chicken, lamb and fish, in Tagines and in other dishes!.

For your first effort, chop them up, mash them in some butter with your herbs and apply to the chicken breasts, and either bake or grill them, make sure to cook them fully, a nice side dish is a cous-cous with a bit of onion and a few dried fruit in them, currants or raisins for a sweetish twist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

IDK!.!.!.saw them prepared and used in cooking on TV, I think it was either Greek or Italian!. I think it should be good, I love lemon with chicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hourglas is right ,but aside from citrus you'll also have a salty flavor since the lemons are packed in kosher salt!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
