Question: Are cooking classes in Jr!. High a waste of time!?
If YES why!?
if NO why!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
IMO, NO, not at all, IF the student is willing to learn and the TEACHER is willing to teach, with a good educational plan and GOOD (not stupid) projects!.!.!.!.!.

This really applies to just about ANY class in HS, at least it was with me!.!.!.!.!.I changed teachers in HS till I found one that I thought was challenging enough for me!.!.!.!.!.!.

I remember distinctly in HS that we did have (back then) Home Economics, which kids thought was a "sham" class: the class was taught by a really tough lesbian PE teacher (oh, NO!! Not in Catholic school!?!!?!!?!!?) The kids thought that it was a "get over" class!.!.!.!.!.!.She ended up flunking ALL of the class!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

I can't imagine trying to teach HS these days!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

I think they are!.!.both my kids took it, and they made cookies, and English muffin pizzas!. They were disappointed they didn't get to do more, and have a more active role in class!. Back when I took that class, we had a bigger budget!.

I think letting your child help you cook meals together is far better!. They have more hands-on experience, appreciate the time you spend with them, and learn what goes into their meal!.!.which makes them more excited about eating it!. What I learned in JH cooking class, I learned in a week in the kitchen with my mom!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
