Question: I have $10!.00 and no more, what can I make for dinner for a family of 5!?!?
Hot dogs is not an option, I can't bare to eat another one, but here are a few things I have in my house, Milk, salt, pepper, egg noodles, butter, 2 boxes of mac and cheese, flour, onions, 3 potatoes, 1 can of broccoli and cheese soup, pretzles, I am going to the store but have no idea what I am getting!.!.!.!.!.10 points to the best ideaWww@FoodAQ@Com

buy a rotisserie chicken !.!.!. they usually don't cost much maybe 6 or 7 dollars and it's healthy plus they come already ready to eat at stores like wal-mart and ingles !.!.!. then make the mac and cheese and bake the potatoes in the oven for side dishes!

and maybe a cheap pack of bread rolls too!

Ok, when you go to the store, purchase:

2 cans tuna fish in water
1 box frozen peas
1 container grated parmesan


For dinner:

Drain tuna and set aside!. Saute onion in butter while you make up your mac and cheese!. Add frozen peas to onion and butter mixture!. Add tuna!. Toss with mac and cheese and add additional milk and cheese!. Place in baking dish!. Crush the pretzels and sprinkle over the casserole!. Top with remaining cheese, cover and bake for 45 minutes or until bubbling and cheese has melted!. Serve with fresh fruit as a side, even sliced apples with cinnamon and butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

buy a couple packages of chicken parts (legs and thighs is the least expensive) and season them with salt and pepper!. saute them in a skillet on both sides until brown in some butter!. add in some diced potatoes and sliced onions!. cover with a lid and add in a little bit of water!. let it simmer until the meat and veggies are tender!.

OR you can bake them in the oven with diced potatoes, and sliced onions with a little bit of water!. keep it covered with a lid or aluminum foil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pasta and sauce!. Buttered noodles with a meat or sausage!. Home fries with eggs!. Pancakes or waffles!.

Get some ground meat or poultry, and brown it up in a skillet, and drain the grease; or canned chicken or tuna, add to the cooked mac and cheese, with some extra milk and butter for the cheese sauce, or some cheese too!. Add some frozen green peas, or a veggie to it, or on the side!.

Make a sauce of the broc and cheese soup to pour over the cooked noodles!. Add some raw or steamed broccoli to it, or add the broccoli to the pasta during the last few minutes of cooking!. a bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1 lg can cream of mushroom soup

bake the chicken and cool, skin, debone, and cut into chunks in a large casseroli dish
add the soup + 1/2 c!. of the chicken broth (from the baking)
mixed vegetables
dice your potatoes and 1 onion


mix 1/2 c!. s/r flour with 2T!. melted butter and 1/2 c!. milk
pour on top (the crust)

Ok, you already have egg noodles so now all you need to buy is 2 jars of Ragu Sauce and 1/2lb of ground beef (on sale)!. Purchase 1 red and 1 green bell pepper!. Chop up 1/2 onion and cook it into the ground beef in a skillet , along with a bit of salt and pepper!. Drain and pore Ragu Sauce on!. Chop up bell pepper and put into the sauce!. Bring to a boil and serve hot on top of your egg noodles!. If you have anymore money left over, buy a box of store brand "Texas Toast" and there you go!. Get a packet of dried soup mix, that has all the split peas pearl barley etc in it!. The kind that makes a gallon of soup
A couple of carrots!.
Half a bunch of celery
Bak of frozen mixed veges and a loaf of toast sliced bread!.

Make the soup according to the directions on the packet and add the rest in order, so those that require the most cooking go in aheag of those that need only to be heated!.
Use the potatoes and onions you have and break up the egg noodle and add!.

cut up the onions and potatoes and cook and add to the broc and cheese soup!. make dumplings out of the flour!. buy some chicken, and cut it up cook it and add it to the egg noodles with some sauteed onions, and some tomato sauce!.

Egg Noodles

Brown the ground beef with salt, pepper and onion!.

Get about 1!.5 pounds ground beef, a packet of taco seasoning, a little can of chopped green chiles, and a bag of salad greens!.

Brown the ground beef with some onion, chiles, and taco mix!. Drain!. Make both boxes of mac and cheese, then add the taco meat!. Serve with a salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get small package of beef tips and get brown gravy (or make your own)!. Fry the tips and onions, put them with brown gravy over the noodles!.Bake the 3 potatoes(cut them in half) and serve as a side dish half a potato with broc and cheese soup drizzled over it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

then maybe like five minutes before it's done put an egg for each package you cook maybe a sprinkle or two of cillantro and i promise you'll love!!!

Okay I hope you haven't left already for the store, but if you have here are a couple of ideas just in case you have something like this comes up again!.

Buy 2 cans of tuna, I like mine packed in water not oil!.
1 pkg of cream cheese-store brand is fine
And 1 small jar of salsa (use the cheapest of course)!.
If you have any left over money buy a bag of frozen corn

Boil the needles drain and set aside!. Cut the cream cheese into cubes, and start to melt over medium heat on the stove!. Add a little bit of the salsa at first!. Mix well, and slowly add more and more salsa!. If you want you can add some frozen corn!. Or save it out!. Toss the noodles in the sauce and serve!.

If you decided to keep the corn out just boil or microwave and and serve on the side!.

Buy:
The smallest pkg of chicken!. or you could try a couple cans of canned chicken (I've never tried it but you never know)
Frozen broccoli florets
1 small carton milk (like the luchbox size)

Boil the egg noodles and set aside!.
Cut and saute the chicken breasts, when they are done add about 1-2 cups of the broccoli!. Saute until the broccoli starts to thaw!. When the broccoli warms up even more add teh soup and the carton of milk, and maybe a splash of water!. Mix and heat until the broccoli and chicken are heated thru!. Pour over the reserved noodles and dish up!.

Or just use the chicken and broccoli, and add it to the mac and cheese!.
