I keep mine in the fridge overnight, in the morning I take it out and it's out all day and I put it in the fridge at night!. I have been doing this for over ten years and never been sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't keep mine in the fridge either,,,I keep it in the cabinet in a butter dish (( this is funny because I had the grandchildren last night and made them popcorn and used the last of the butter in the dish and JUST finished washing it ))

I've done this for 30 years and I'm still alive<<So I woulden't worry if it is safe of not,,but it lasts only a few days in this house!.!.!.
but I'm talking about real butter not margerine>I'm not sure about that one!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

They make butter keepers you can buy at kitchen specialty stores that allow you to keep butter unrefrigerated!. It works by placing water in a bell part of the holder, and your butter will stay fresh!. You need to change the water every day or two!. I keep ours in the refrigerator as it can spoil!. It is a dairy product!. You can always soften it very quickly in the microwave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, its not necessarily *bad*, but it isn't going to stay fresh as long!. If you're planning on using it up within a day or so!.!.I don't see too much to worry about with leaving a stick of butter (in a butter dish) out of the fridge!. If you want to keep it fresh for longer than a day or so!.!.pop it into the fridge and only cut/soften the amount you need!.!.when you need it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

salted butter seems to do fine on the counter top covered within a butter dish(mine doesn't make it past 4 days) but better safe than sorry on unsalted or high quality butters!. Just take what you need out at the beginning of your prep work and place near stove and it will be soft by the time you need it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't eat butter but my dad does, and he leaves it out in the butter container as then it is ready to spread it gets too hard in the fridge, and he doesn't like the spreads,oh no it has to butter real butter!.He is 71 and he is good health so it has not done him any harm!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, it should be refrigerated!. I leave mine out an hour prior to eating it so it has time to cool down so it's easier to cut and spread!.!. but then again, I don't use butter often, I use I can't believe its not butter!. However, butter does belong in the fridge!.!. if you want to keep it fresh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have air conditioning in your house, you should be able to leave butter out on the counter as long as it is covered!. If you do find that it doesnt smell or taste right, you know it is either out too long or your house is too warm!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't keep mine in the fridge, only if it's spray or the stuff in the container!. If it's a stick it just means it will soften!. Put a lid over it or something if you don't want stuff getting on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep mine in the fridge!.!.!. it will go bad if it sits out in the warm air for too long!. bacteria can start building if it's at room temp!. Your best bet is to keep it in the fridgeWww@FoodAQ@Com
