QUICK! FROSTING HELP! 10 points for best!?!
i need to make some frosting real quick for my cooking final's cake and uhh i forgot the frosting recipe!.
i do know though that it had a 16oz!. powdered sugar, shortening, and a stick of butter, and 1tbsp vanilla!.!.!.
if you know the amount of shortening that i should add then that would be fantastic!.!.!.

If it's a 1lb sugar, I THINK that the right amount of shortening would be between 8-10oz because you also have the butter!.

I have the exact recipe it is a basic buttercream recipe!. It is 16oz powdered sugar, 1 stick room temp butter, 1 tbsp vanilla, 1/2 cup shortening !.
Blend the butter and shortening together!. Add one cup of sugar a time, scrape the side of the bowl before adding another cup of sugar!. At the end add the vanilla and blend!. I always add alittle milk at the end like 1 tbsp so it makes the icing fluffy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In a bowl, with a mixer (preferably fitted with whisk attachment) on low speed, beat butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, and the salt until blended!. Add milk and vanilla; beat until blended!. Add remaining powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating until incorporated!. Turn mixer to high speed and beat frosting until fluffy and smooth!.
Coffee frosting: Replace milk and vanilla with 4 teaspoons instant espresso powder dissolved in 3 tablespoons hot water, then cooled!.
Lemon frosting: Replace milk with 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and vanilla with 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel!.
Mint frosting: Replace vanilla with 4 teaspoons crème de menthe or 1 teaspoon mint extract and 2 or 3 drops green food coloring, if desired!.

3 tablspoons butter/margarine about a half bag powder sugar
2 tablespoons milk/ can milk/ cream
6oz choclate chips
1T vanilla
Whip butter till soft !. alternate sugar and milk while still mixing
Add vanilla!. Whip in melted chocolate ( melt in microwave)
Adjust thickness with sugar or milk!. adjust choclate flavor by adding more chocolate!. I add almost a whole 12 oz bag but then I really like chocolate!. to die 4Www@FoodAQ@Com
