Cold vs room temp vs melted butter (which is best for cookies?)?!

Question: Cold vs room temp vs melted butter (which is best for cookies!?)!?
Usually my cookies always become cake-like, even when I use all- purpose flour!. What butter style is the best for them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
cold butter doesn't mix well into the sugars until it warms to room temperature!. Melted butter needs more flour than the recipe calls for when you add the extra flour after baking the cookie will become as hard as a hockey puck!. room temp is best---Www@FoodAQ@Com

use the room temperature butter!. always!. the best butter is real butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

softened to room temp for sure, and as the other person said, use ONLY real butterWww@FoodAQ@Com

room temp!. You only need it cold if your making a streusel topping!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
