Healthy, cheap, crock pot recipes!?!
Does anyone have any tried and true healthy and cheap crock pot recipes for chicken!? For instance, I have a pork loin recipe that calls for only cranberry juice and onion soup mix!. I am looking for something I can use my frozen, raw chicken tenders with!. Maybe something incorporating soy sauce!? Maybe something with chicken broth!? I just don't want any creamy or high calorie recipes!. I also am looking for a simplistic recipe, as I don't have the money for a lot of ingredients! Me and hubby are eating healthy! Thanks so much!Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 large potato, cut in small cubes
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
half a small carrot, chopped very fine
1/4 - 1/2 cup chicken stock (vary for desired wetness of curry)

Feel free to change up the veggies depending on what you have or what's on sale!. It's greaat with basmati rice!.
Cooking Method
Throw everything in the crock-pot, give it a stir and let it go!
Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours, stirring once or twice in the last hour or so to blend the consistency and add more chicken stock if you prefer a wet curry!.
For a great leftover lunch to take to work or school: mix the curry and rice and scoop a few spoonfuls onto a tortilla wrap, folding it up like a burrito!. Wrap in tinfoil and heat in a toaster oven for 10 - 15 minutes at 400 degrees!. Peel back the tinfoil and eat it like a wrap!. Delicious and convenient!

Pot roast trimmed of fat
cut up carrots, potatoes, and green bell peppers
add vegetable stock, low in fat and low in salt
You really don't have to season the stock, but you don't want to lightly season your meat overnight!.
That should run you around $15
You can definitely add additional vegetables or swap any!.
Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
