Pesto pasta?!

Question: Pesto pasta!?
Can I use dried and ground basil leaves in making Pesto sauce for my pasta!? I can't find any fresh Basil leaves where I live!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No you can't use dried basil - the taste is completely different and it just won't be the same - Green Pesto sauce is based on fresh basil leaves or other herbs!. You can make variations of pesto though, since you can't find fresh basil - you can use arugula, cilantro, or baby spinach!.
You may also be able to find pre-made pesto sauce at your grocers - there are a couple of companies that make it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
