I will make this at least once a month!. Abig one so I can freeze the leftovers into meal size and snack size containers!.
Shepherd’s Pie
1 onion, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb!. lamb, minced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 large carrot, diced
1 beef stock cube
1 lb!. chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon corn flour
3 tablespoons tomato puree
pinch of salt and pepper
2 lb!. potatoes
1 stick butter
If made with beef, it would be known as cottage pie!.
Firstly, heat the olive oil in a pan, add the onion, garlic and carrot and cook until soft!. Add minced lamb and stock cube, then cook until the mince is brown and shows a crumbly texture!. Stir in the tomatoes and tomato puree, and add the corn flour!. Leave to simmer, stirring occasionally, for about fifteen minutes, or until thickened!.
Meanwhile, peel and chop potatoes and boil until soft, then mash them with the butter and salt and pepper to taste!.
Put the filling into a deep dish, then top with the mashed potatoes and put under a warm grill (broiler) until the top is brown and crisp!.

Usually I make them when all of my fmily is finally together!. There is no one who tasted them and didn't like them!. They also cn be done with tuna instead of salmon!.


Salmon cakes

Ingerdients:
?1 large can red or pink salmon, drained
?3 eggs
?1/2 cup matzo meal (or bread crumbs)
?3 medium onion, chopped
?2 Tbsp light sour cream
?3 - 4 Tbsp vegetable or canola oil
?dash of salt and pepper

Preparation:

Combine and mix the salmon, eggs, matzo meal, 1 chopped onion, sour cream, and salt & pepper in large bowl!. Form small to medium pancakes!.

Heat oil in frying pan and place pancakes in pan!. Cook uncovered over medium fire until crisp, flipping often!. Fry the 2 remaining chopped onions separately in pan then spoon over pancakes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pasta bows with sourcream and onion sauce, on side of Steak, I serve it for family gatherings or holidays, its pasta bows, boiled, set aside, 2 cups of fried onions in buttered pan, 1 can of band b mushrroomms in butter, 2 cups of sourcream, first fry your onions in butter, till fried, put the mushrooms in, stir on low heat, and then put your sourcream in, stir on low heat, till a sauce like form is formed, then put on to your pasta bows, toss and serve, have a steak with itWww@FoodAQ@Com

i usually only eat this if im a little hungry or want a snack
take some turkey that you use for a sandwhich
put some mashed potatoes and cheese in the middle
roll it up like a burrito
put in the microwave for about 20 seconds for cheese to melt!.
i like to dip mine in a little mustard
VERY TASTY
HARDLY CAN TASTE THE MUSTARD!.

beer bread!.

1 beer
2 cups self rising flour
3 tbsp sugar

mix in bowl!. should look like pancake batter!. bake in 8inch cast iron skilet 325 for 30-40 min!.
