Did I completly ruin it ?!

Question: Did I completly ruin it !?
I wanted a chicken to thaw out faster so I boilded it , it was still frozen on the inside , so I put it on a full boil for over an hour (to get the bag of giblets out) the outside was almost completly cooked while the middle was still frozen so I cut it all apart , took out the bag , and finished boiling it to where everything was completly cooked !. Then I tore it all into peices put it in a baking dish , and covered it with butter and bbq sauce !. It's been baking now on 350 for about 15 min's , do you think it will still be edible !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

safety wise your ok, that process didn't hurt the chicken and it should be done enough to eat, but!.!.!.!.!.!.!.butter & bbq sauce!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Make sure the temperature is above 160 degrees if you have a thermometer if you're worried!. If it's completly cooked, it's fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Might be a bit tough, but it's definitely cooked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it should beWww@FoodAQ@Com

Poultry needs to be cooked through to an internal temperature of 165F for at least 15 seconds to be considered food safe!. As long as you got it to that internal temperature, you're fine!. As to being tough or not boiling and then baking, that would depend on what kind of chicken it was!.
Of course you were in a time crunch so this didn't come into play, but the number one safe way for future, to thaw meat is in the refrigerator!. If you have time constraints, it is still safe to put it into a clean sink or in a bowl in the sink and thaw it in continually running COLD water - it is important to keep the water running!. This is surprisingly quick and will still be food safe!. The microwave on defrost is also a possibility if you keep a close eye and are familiar with the defrost setting on your microwave!. 40-140 F is the danger zone for food where bacteria run rampant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
