Meatballs. What is wrong with meatballs ?!
Hi Folks,
I only ask becaise someone said that meatballs could be made from rubbish meat & filling, but I make them from fresh minced steak or lamb, or pork, with onion, herbs etc, and they are fine!.
I know they are seen as "peasant food"
But where do you stand on meatballs !?

Yeah, made from scratch are obviously the best!. I use fresh ground pork, ground beef and sometimes ground veal!. I always put the onion and garlic into the blender with the egg, because I HATE chunks of onion which break up the meatballs when they are cooking! My family just loves meatballs cooked in a Stroganov sauce and then served over Linguine!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Just like any processed meat products, meatballs could be made of poor quality meat!. But if you make them yourself, you should know where the meat comes from!.
also, by buying good quality, and not the 25p for 60, you can be much more certain of the quality of ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I prefer to call them 'k?fte'!. Well known in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking!. Nothing wrong with them!.
There used to be an Italian restaurant in Hong Kong where their menu stated, right at the top :'We do not serve spaghetti and meatballs!. Spaghetti and meatballs is not an Italian dish!.'
So someone doesn't like them!Www@FoodAQ@Com
