How to make the best roast potatoes?!

Question: How to make the best roast potatoes!?
Hi everyone!
I've never cooked many meat dishes!. Growing up with a veggie mum i just got use to veggie dishes!.
I'm now with a guy who loves roasts and meat!.

Can you tell me how to make the best, crispy roast pots!. I'm about to do my first ever roast chicken!.
Thank-youWww@FoodAQ@Com

Oven Roasted Potatoes

1 lb!. baby potatoes, cut in quarters (454 grams)
1/2 orange pepper, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
Zest of lemons
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil (30 ml)
Handful parsley, chopped, to finish

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F!.

Add potatoes, peppers and garlic to large bowl!. Toss with olive oil!. Transfer to baking sheet lined with parchment paper!. Bake until potatoes are golden brown and fork tender, turning occasionally so brown evenly, about 35 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut your potatoes into wedges - I like the skin on for flavor - and toss in a bowl with just a drizzle of olive oil to coat (you don't want them swimming - just a little shiny) Add some salt & pepper, a bit of garlic or garlic powder if you like, and rosemary is also really nice!.!.!.Roast in large pan with the chicken or in a separate pan at 325-350 for about 45 minutes to an hour!. Be sure to toss them around once in a while to brown the edges a bit all the way around!. If you roast them in the chicken pan, they will get all that great chicken flavor, so that's nice too - they take a bit longer tho, if you do it all in the same pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For roasting, 'new' potatoes are the best!. I like the small ones, either red or white skinned- doesn't matter!. New potatoes have a very thin skin, so they don't need peeling!. Just cut them up into your desired shape & size, keeping in mind that the thinner you slice them, the faster they cook and the crispier they get in the oven!. Toss the potatoes in a large bowl with some oil (I prefer peanut oil & olive oil mixed 50/50), some salt, pepper, and rosemary (fresh if you've got, otherwise dried will do)!. put them in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast at 375F until cooked through and browned on the outside!.

If you want to add a kick, add some cayenne!. Delicious!

The oil that you use isn't of great significance, mostly personal preference!. I like peanut oil because of the flavour, and it doesn't smoke easy!. Olive oil smokes easier but it's great for your body and gives a wonderful flavour!. By mixing, I find you get the best of both worlds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want them crispy, you should clean the potato really well and cut them into wedges and leave the skins on!. Put a bit of olive oil in a bowl, sprinkle in some seasoned salt, garlic powder, pepper, rosemary, oregano, and whatever other herbs you think will go well with your chicken, toss in the potatoes until they're well coated, and bake at 475 for about 20 to 30 minutes!. Be sure to turn them so they crisp well on both sides!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut your spuds into small chunks about 1", throw them in a shaker bag and add seasoning salt, garlic powder, parsley flakes and a bit of sage, then add enough OLIVE oil to coat them all when you shake them!.

Spread them out on a shallow sheet and cook at 400F for about thirty minutes, and bingo!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't have to make them in the same pan as the meat!. If the drippings are really wet, that will keep them from getting properly crisp on the exterior!.

Peel some small to medium sized potatoes and put into a non-stick baking dish!. with 1/4 cup of meat fat, butter, or olive oil!. Put into the oven an hour and a half before the meat is done!. Stir occasionally to make sure they get browned on all sides!. Season with salt and pepper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cut potatoes into evenly sized chunks about bite size, brush with oil and sprinkle with herbs that match the herbs you are using for the chicken recipe!. I would like parsley and chives on mine!.

Bake on cookie sheet for about 15 minutes at 350F!. then brush the pots again with the oil and move to under broiler on broil setting for a couple of minutes!. Watch closely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
