Here's my aunt's recipe that we've all made for years!. We happen to call it Fudge Sauce, but it's the same as chocolate sauce!. Wonderful on peppermint stick ice cream in particular!
Over low heat in a medium saucepan, blend together,
4 T cocoa powder
2 c sugar
then blend in
4 T butter (1/2 stick) until consistency of pie dough
add 1 can condensed milk
bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly!. Remove from heat after boiling for 1 minute and add 2 tsp!. vanilla
I use a wooden spoon for this!. Make sure you stir often to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan - don't miss the outer edges when stirring!Www@FoodAQ@Com
