Answers:
2 1/2 pounds baking potatoes, peeled and halved
1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, drained and chopped fine
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons olive oil
Fresh-ground black pepper
3/4 pound grated fontina
3 cloves garlic, minced
5 anchovy fillets, minced
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/3 cup grated Parmesan

Heat the oven to 450 degrees F!. Put the potatoes in a medium saucepan of salted water!. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes!. Meanwhile, put the tomatoes in a strainer set over a medium bowl!. Toss with 3/4 teaspoon of the salt and let drain for 20 minutes!.
Drain the potatoes and push them through a food mill, ricer, or strainer back into the saucepan!. Cook over moderately low heat, stirring, until the potato starts to stick to the pan, about 5 minutes!. Stir in 2 tablespoons of the oil, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of pepper!. Remove from the heat!.
Oil a large baking sheet!. Spread the potato mixture onto the baking sheet, forming two 6-by-11-inch rectangles!. Top the potato with the fontina, leaving a 1/4-inch border!. Sprinkle the garlic and anchovies over the cheese!. Top with the drained tomatoes followed by the oregano and Parmesan!. Drizzle with the remaining 2 tablespoons oil!. Bake the potato pies in the lower third of the oven until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden brown, about 25 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

are you thinking of shepard's pie!? Here's a recipe:
Easy Shepherd's Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground round beef
1 onion chopped
1-2 cups vegetables - chopped carrots, corn, peas
1 1/2 - 2 lbs potatoes (3 big ones)
8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt, pepper, other seasonings of choice
Method
1 Peel and quarter potatoes, boil in salted water until tender (about 20 minutes)!.
2 While the potatoes are cooking, melt 4 Tablespoons butter (1/2 a stick) in large frying pan!.
3 Sauté onions in butter until tender over medium heat (10 mins)!. If you are adding vegetables, add them according to cooking time!. Put any carrots in with the onions!. Add corn or peas either at the end of the cooking of the onions, or after the meat has initially cooked!.
4 Add ground beef and sauté until no longer pink!. Add salt and pepper!. Add worcesterchire sauce!. Add half a cup of beef broth and cook, uncovered, over low heat for 10 minutes, adding more beef broth as necessary to keep moist!.
5 Mash potatoes in bowl with remainder of butter, season to taste!.
6 Place beef and onions in baking dish!. Distribute mashed potatoes on top!. Rough up with a fork so that there are peaks that will brown nicely!. You can use the fork to make some designs in the potatoes as well!.
7 Cook in 400 degree oven until bubbling and brown (about 30 minutes)!. Broil for last few minutes if necessary to brown!.
Serves four!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Simply boil the potatoes in a large pan of salted water, then drain thoroughly!.
Add the margarine, plenty of salt and pepper, and mash until quite smooth!. Add the cheese (reserving some for the crust) and beat until the cheese has melted!.
Transfer to a large greased bowl and sprinkle with the remaining cheese!. Bake in the oven at 200C/375F/gas mark for about an hour, until the top of the pie is golden and bubbling!.
You can serve this on its own, but I like it with some tinned tomatoes or a fresh green salad!. Or, if you're feeling in the need of some comfort food, baked beans or tinned spaghetti go really well with it, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here`s a Recipe for Cheesly Leek and potato pie!.

3 leeks , cut into chunks
small knob butter
pinch dried rosemary or thyme
450g potatoes (1 very large baking potato is perfect), chopped into thick slices
140g melting cheese , such as cheddar, cut into small chunks
500g pack shortcrust pastry
1 egg , beaten

Put the leeks, butter and herbs in a pan, cover and cook over a low heat for about 20 mins until very soft, stirring occasionally!. While the leeks are cooking, put the potatoes in a pan of cold water, bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 mins until just cooked!. Drain the potatoes and stir into the cooked leeks!. Leave to cool, stir in the cheese and season with plenty of pepper and salt if you want!. The filling can now be chilled for use the following day, if you like!.
Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6!. Divide the pastry in two and roll one of the pieces to the size of a dinner plate!. Transfer this to a baking sheet and roll the remaining pastry and any trimmings to a round about 5cm bigger than the first!. Pile the filling into the middle of the round on the baking sheet, leaving a 4cm border!. Brush the border with the beaten egg, then drape over the larger piece of pastry!. Trim the edges to neaten, then press the sides together with your thumb!. Brush the tart all over with egg!. Bake for 35-40 mins until golden!. Leave to rest for 10 mins before cutting into wedges and serving with beans or greens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
