Question: Why do some recipes want us to put in some ingredients a little bit at a time!.!?
For example, one recipe I have instructed to pour in a little bit of flour at a time while stirring!. Can't I just pour in all the flour in at once then stir!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
In some recipes it is important to stir in ingredients gradually so that they are incorporated into the mixture properly!. The flour might clump on you if you added it all at once!. It's about more than clumping, though!. Chemical bonds form or are altered as ingredients are mixed together!. Sometimes you have to do it gradually to maximize how the new ingredient is dispersed into the others, encouraging new bonds to form between ingredients that would otherwise stick to their own kind!.

This isn't true of every mixture!. Recipes will tell you when it's important!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It has to do with an old idea that the (!?) flour will clump and the blend will be bloched!.!.
It is far frched but people believe nonsense!.!.
I remember flour having to be sifted 3 times for mom!.!.
It made me feel important!.!.!.
I was doing something !.!.!.!!!!!

Remember mixing eggs and hot food YES you can cook them rather than blend it!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

so that the ingredient will incorporate easily, have you ever tried to stir a batter with all the ingredients in at one time!?
its harder to stir than if you put the flour in one cup at a time!.

Often times when you add it all at once, it can get lumpy and uneven, which leads to crunchy little flour balls!.!.!. not very appetizing!Www@FoodAQ@Com
