Can I Still Use This Sausage?!

Question: Can I Still Use This Sausage!?
I thawed out some Jimmy Dean bulk pork sausage in the refrigerator last night, I was going to cook it today!. It's turned into one of those days when I'm going to have to eat on the run, I don't have time to cook!. Can I cook it tomorrow!? It says, "freeze or cook by May 22, 2008"!. It was frozen by that date!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
you can have it in the fridge after thawing for up to five daysWww@FoodAQ@Com

Stores always put a date on there that's a bit shorter than the date you actually want to throw it out on, because we don't want to sell you the food the day before it's actually going to go bad, then you won't have any time to use it!. If the milk says "Use by the 23rd" we have to throw it away on the 23rd!. But if you bought it on the 22nd, you could still use it for a few more days and be fine!.

If something says "use by the 22nd of May", you can freeze it and use it up to 6 months down the road, so until November 22nd if it stays frozen!. Once you've thawed it, you should use it within 4 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your meat will be fine to use tonight!.

If you won't have time to prepare your recipe, or do not have time to eat at home, you can always cook up the meat and re-freeze it for use later rather than disposing of perfectly good meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually only cook half of a thawed pack one day for like, biscuits and gravy, and the second half for sausage sandwiches a day or two later!. You'll be fine, just use it in about 4-5 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are questionable on it!.!.!.!.Throw it out!.!.!.!.a few bucks are nothing compared to your health!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah use it tomarrow!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
