How do you make caramalised onions?!


Question: How do you make caramalised onions!?
Answers:
Carmelized onions are easy!.!.!.as a caterer I make them all the time!. Saute a Vidalia or other sweet onion in butter!.!.!.when translucent sprinkle a bit of sugar on them and continue sauteing them until they are brownish looking but pleae don't burn them!. YUM!
P!.S!. Keep in mind that it is the butter with the little bit of sugar that "Carmel"izes them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut the onions up, fry them slowly in a skillet or pan stirring frequently until they are brown and carmelized!. You can cook them for 30 minutes or more over low heat!. I like to fry them in butter, but you can use any kind of fat or oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get a pan and make it really really hot oil and then put the onions in until they are frying nicely and then add some honey and drizzle it on and leave the onions to fry for a bit longer and then they are done!. I dont like onion normally but i like them when they are done like this, super yummy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use a little butter and let it melt completely and put in your sliced or diced onion!. Cook over medium high heat and stir occasionally until they are light brown!. I love to do sliced onion and then put them on bread with a slice of cheese and a little mayo, YUM!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just fry them for a long time (45 min-one hour) on low heat, keeping an eye on them so they don't burn!. If you fry them on high heat, they will burn and turn sorta bitter!. also, use a cooking oil (i!.e!., not butter) , and not too much of it (one-two tablespoons)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
