How much sugar should i use to substitute 2 tbs dry pectin?!


Question: How much sugar should i use to substitute 2 tbs dry pectin!?
its for a salad dressing recipe!. i dont have any pectin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

WEll under normal cicumatance it would be equal parts but since it's a salas I wold use 1 tbl and if you needed more that add as a sprinlke but I think u will be satisified with this suggestion!. You might add a teaspoon of balsamic to perk it up a bit more :0)

why are you putting pectin in salad dressing!? That's what's used to thicken jams & jellies before you put them in a jar!.!.!.!. it isn't a sweetener, so sugar & pectin are NOT interchangeableWww@FoodAQ@Com
