We camp 4 days each year!. One night I like to make a chili or stew!. I usually make it at home the day before and eat it the first night!. Then we'll do a hot dog/sausage night and a steak night!. I've been camping with friends and we even made tacos on the stove one night too!. My brother brought a brisket one year and made a little oven with rocks in the pit and cooked it all day- it was delicious, but you have to get a really good base of coals and keep an eye on it!.

For breakfast my brother always makes corned beef hash out of the can which might seem nasty, but it cooks up really good and you don't have to pack it in the icechest which helps save space!. also to make pancakes we bring complete mix that you only need water for and an empy, large jar, like one for mayo!. You can just put the mix in there and shake it up and it's ready to pour!. The last day we just bring bagels or danish since we need to get packing and get out!.

Have a great time!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can cook steaks just like you would a hotdog, on a stick (or in a skillet, if you prefer)! foil wrapped corn on the cob and potatoes are nice and easy as well, and you can spruce up the corn with some taco seasoning/water!. (it's more convenient if you wash and wrap all the potatoes and corn ahead of time)!. add some steak sauce to the steak while they're cooking, and everyone can cook to their desired doneness!.
other easy stuff for camping is homemade beef stew or soup made ahead of time (if you can keep it cold)!. heat and serve with a crusty bread or rolls!. you could also do 'breakfast for dinner' in a single skillet (or two)!.!.!. with sausage and egg mcmuffins or bacon egg and hashbrowns!. sandwiches are good too!.!.!. you could make a big batch of tuna/chicken salad and just spread it on the bread at mealtime so they don't get soggy!. careful tho, 'cause mayo spoils easily!. you can also make individual garden salads ahead of time and put them in little gladware containers with each person's name on them!. they add dressing and eat right from it!.

Just take normal camping foods, burgers, hot dogs, steaks, corn on the cob is good on the grill, pork & beans, chips, lots of fresh fruit! Take a cast iron skillet, and you can cook any breakfast foods over the open fire!. I love egg & bacon sandwiches when I camp!. also take lunch meat and stuff for easy lunches when you don't want to fire up the grill!. Don't forget the S'mores!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is a perfect way to make omelettes when camping http://therepressedpastrychef!.blogspot!.c!.!.!. You will NOT be disappointed and folks will be pleased to get a real breakfast :)

Have fun!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
