You sure can - i have made 2 this week - i use greens packet mix but i am in australia and not sure if you have this brand in the states - they have directions for both oven and microwave - i use tupperware silicone bakeware in the microwave and my cakes come out great! Dont use metal cake tins though as it will cause the microwave to blow up - only use silicone bakeware!. also here is a link to a microwave bannana and walnut cake - http://www!.taste!.com!.au/recipes/9449/mic!.!.!. or choc peanut butter cake http://www!.cooks!.com/rec/doc/0,1729,1501!.!.!. - hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com
Microwaves are not the best thing to cook cakes!. Although I did find this recipe: http://www!.recipes4cakes!.com/nobakecake/!.!.!.
If you don't have an oven, do you have an electric frying pan!? I have heard that you can put the cake tin into the electric oven (raise it off the bottom with something (i!.e!. an inverted plate/metal cake cooling rack) and then put the electric frying pan's lid on top to make an oven-like atmosphere!.!. Not sure about temperatures though, you'll have to experiment!. (You also may have to put a little water in the pan to stop it from burning!?)
If you don't have an electric frying pan, I've cooked cakes in a bowl covered with aluminum foil (held on with an elastic band) on an inverted bowl in a pot!. I then fill the pot with water so that it comes just under the rim of the bowl (try not to get it too high or you'll get water in your cake) and boil it until it is cooked!.!. but you'll get a heavier and different texture cake this way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
