Is it harmful to damage your teflon pan and absorb it through the food?!
Nearly every pan and pot out there now have teflon coating!. But what if this layer of teflon gets scraped out (which seems inevitable), and is absorbed through food!? What is the chemical effect of teflon on the human body!? Is it absorbed through food!? Or does it pass through!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it is very damagable to the health at least that is what is commonly said in France where we are pushed to be very cautious and have our pans not scratched by cleaning and also changed frequently to prevent any problems, especially with young kids at home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I use a large teflon coated fry/saute pan almost everyday!. I replace it at around 8-9 months of use when it starts to get scraped up because of the possible health risks of eating teflon!. I buy them at KMart or WalMart for around $20!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
