So I cooked this 1!.25 lb of steak waaaaayy to much and it's dry and chewy!. Is there anything I can do with this piece of meat other then give to the dog!? I believe it's flank steak!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Shred it lightly in the food processor and mix with BBQ sauce, serve on buns!.

Slice very thinly, put in crock pot along with a can of beef broth, let it simmer a few hours and serve on crust rolls with your favorite cheese, use the remaining beef broth for dipping!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Personally, I would say no, there's no way to rescue it!. But some of the other answers seem to more sufficient than mine!. It's really according to the cut of meat, imo!. If it's a skirt steak, there's not much of a way you can overdo it!. If it's a strip steak and overdone, it's not going to tase well or have much texture!. It could be shredded and served with barbecue sauce if it's a strip or ribeye!. Any other kind of steak would be fine ground if overdone and made into tacos as other posters said!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice it very thinly against the grain (across the top) and serve fajitas!. Sautee all the veggies and throw in the steak at the last minute!. (Give the dog the scraps)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice it super thin and eat it as fajitas, topped w/ salsa, sour cream, guac, onions, and bellpeppers!. It should be edible that way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

either slice it thin against the grain and smother it in gravy over some rice

OR

chop or shred it and make tacos, burritos, fajitas, or chiliWww@FoodAQ@Com

yes, smother it in a tomato sauce or a type of mint dressing, it will have bad texture but will taste excellent!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

cut it up for tacos, when you cook with the taco mix it will tender up some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
