My mom's on a mission in Japan!. She's alway the one who cooks for the whole family, but now she's out!. So, i have to be in charge!. Lately, i run out of kinds of food!. Can anyone suggest me any Asian food!? Please describe he ingredient and how to cook also!. thank in advance,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yang Chow Fried Rice
Ingredients
* 1 tablespoon light sesame oil
* 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
* 4 garlic clove, minced
* 1 small red bell pepper, finely diced
* 1 small red onion, finely diced

* 1 cup diced ham
* 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled deveined (16-20 count)
* 3 egg, beaten and scrambled in large curds
* 4 cups cooked jasmine rice
* 2 scallion, white and green parts, thinly sliced
* 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
* 1 teaspoon kosher salt
* 2-4 teaspoons dried red chili or szechuan peppercorns
* 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1!. Place a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat and when it is hot, add the oil!.
2!.Add the ginger and garlic and cook until lightly carmelized, about 1 minute!.

4!.At this point, I add the frozen peans, ham and shrimp and cook, stirring constantly -- for a couple of minutes!.

white sugar to taste
salt to taste
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup ketchup

1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
2 tablespoons cornstarch

DIRECTIONS
Place cubed pork in a medium bowl, and season with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, and 1 teaspoon soy sauce!. Mix in the egg white and green onions!. Cover, and place in the refrigerator at least 1 hour!.
Heat 1 quart oil to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C) in a large, heavy saucepan or deep fryer!.

Egg Drop Soup, I like to boil a little boneless/ skinless chicken breast, then cut up!. Put back in pot and add some green onion, salt and pepper!. Bring to a hard boil, then add eggs!. Mix up the eggs real good!. When you are adding the eggs, stir with a spoon fast and add eggs slow!. Most people add 3 or 4 but my husband likes a lot of egg, so I use 6 or 8!. We like the chips to put in your bowl when you eat the soup, so I buy the egg roll shells at the grocery store and cut in strips and fry them in high heat until brown

Chicken with Black Mushrooms !.
1 lb fillet chicken breast !.
6 black mushrooms ( soak in hot water to soften them)
1 oz sliced green onions !.
2 cloves of garlic finely chopped!.
1 ts !. finely chopped ginger !.
1 tb oyster sauce
1 tb soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste !.
In a hot skillet saute the onions, ginger and garlic , then add chicken breast and mushrooms and rest of other ingredients add a dash of sesame oil or that taste of the orient!.

500g belly pork meat, cubed
Marinade:
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder (ng heong fan)
Enough oil for deep-frying
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/4 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp oil
1 onion, quartered
1/2 ripe tomato, quartered
1/2 a red capsicum, cut into wedges
100g cucumber, cut into wedges with the centre portion removed
Sauce (combine):
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1 1/4 tsp sugar or to taste
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
Dash of pepper
250ml water
1/2 tsp chicken stock granules
3/4 tbsp corn flour
Method
Marinate pork cubes with the marinade for several hours or preferably overnight!. Dip the marinated pork in the beaten egg and toss in plain flour, then deep-fry until golden brown!. Remove and drain!.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok, fry onion briskly for half a minute and add in combined sauce ingredients!. When the sauce begins to boil, add in pork, capsicum, tomato, onion and cucumber!.
Stir well to mix!. Dish out and serve immediately!.

1 piece or 1 cube fermented red beancurd (tau chu)
1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder

1/2 tsp meat tenderiser
2 tbsp Shao Hsing Hua Tiao cooking wine
2 tbsp water
1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced onions

Marinate pork chops pieces with (A) for several hours, preferably overnight!. Add olive oil when about to grill!.
Cook pork chops on a lightly oiled BBQ pit or grill on medium heat for about 4–5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the meat!. Remove meat and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving with grilled Roma tomatoes and iceberg lettuce!.

HEAT oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat!. Add ham, mushrooms, peas and onions; cook 4 minutes, stirring constantly!.
ADD shrimp; cook and stir 4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink!.
STIR in rice, soy sauce and egg!. Cook until egg is set, stirring occasionally

Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cauliflower - washed, cut into small florets and dried on kitchen paper
half teaspoon good chilli powder
half teaspoon turmeric
half teaspoon ground coriander seed
half teaspoon ground cumin seed
third to half a batch of Basic Curry Sauce according to what you've got left over and how "saucy" you want the vegetable curry
salt to taste
Method
heat the oil in a large pan over a moderate heat
Put the cauliflower florets in the pan and stir fry until the cauliflower gets little brown patches
Sprinkle the chilli powder, turmeric, coriander and cumin over the cauliflower and stir fry for a minute to mix in and warm the spices!.
Add the Basic Curry Sauce and salt and simmer on a low heat until the cauliflower is just cooked
Basic Curry Sauce
3 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee (clarified butter)
1 medium onion - finely chopped
4 cloves garlic - peeled and sliced
1!.5 inch piece root ginger - peeled and thinly sliced (it should look about the same volume as the garlic)
(optional) 2 mild fleshy green chillies - de-seeded and veined then chopped
half teaspoon turmeric powder
half teaspoon ground cumin seed
half teaspoon ground coriander seed
5 tablespoons plain passata (smooth, thick, sieved tomatoes, US = purée) or 1 tablespoon concentrated tomato purée (US = paste) mixed with 4 tablespoons water
Method
Heat the oil in a heavy pan then add the chopped onion and stir for a few minutes with the heat on high!.
Add the ginger, garlic and green chilli (if using)!. Stir for 30 seconds then put the heat down to very low!.
Cook for 15 minutes stirring from time to time making sure nothing browns or burns!.
Add the turmeric, cumin and coriander and cook, still very gently, for a further 5 minutes!. Don't burn the spices or the sauce will taste horrid - sprinkle on a few drops of water if you're worried!.
Take off the heat and cool a little!. Put 4 fl oz cold water in a blender, add the contents of the pan and whizz until very smooth!. Add the passata and stir!.
Put the puréed mixture back into the pan and cook for 20 - 30 minutes (the longer the better) over very low heat stirring occasionally!. You can add a little hot water if it starts to catch on the pan but the idea is to gently "fry" the sauce which will darken in colour to an orangy brown!. The final texture should be something like good tomato ketchup!. Warning - it WILL gloop occasionally and splatter over your cooker, it's the price you have to pay!Www@FoodAQ@Com
