Do you have a dry rub and BBQ sauce recipe for spare ribs?!


Question: Do you have a dry rub and BBQ sauce recipe for spare ribs!?
I want to dry rub spare ribs before smoking them!. Not overly spicey but with a bit of a bit!. also I need some BBQ sauce recipes!. I know this is secret stuff to many, but if you have a favorite I will keep it our little secret!. On the BBQ sauce I would like to find one that is sweet, tangy, (Love vinegar) dark and very thick!. I've used this rub repeatedly from JohnnyRoadTrip and had good results every time!. You can cut it in half if it seems like too much!. For added bite, increase the red pepper/cayenne!.

For bbq sauce, I just use whatever's on hand - it's currently Sweet Baby Ray's!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

dry rub

3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 tablespoons salt
1 1/2 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder!. Rub into pork ribs!. For best results, allow ribs to marinate overnight!. Grill ribs as desired!.

Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, minced
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup apple juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Melt the butter in saucepan over medium heat!. Stir in the onion, and cook until tender!. Mix in ketchup, cider vinegar, water, apple juice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, molasses, honey, mustard powder, chili powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper!. Bring to a boil!. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some spice rub ideas to start you on your grilling adventures!. Play around with quantities!. If that seems too hard, begin by adding equal parts of all ingredients until you begin to feel like comfortable mixing up your own spice rubs!.

Cumin, oregano, dried onion, garlic, salt, cayenne pepper!. Unless you want a hot Mexican pepper rub, cut the cayenne pepper to one-fourth of the amount of the other ingredients!. Use this for pork or seafood!.

Celery seed, lemon black pepper, garlic,!. Massage this onto chicken for roasting or fish for grilling or baking!.

Oregano, thyme, basil, salt, chives, garlic!. This rub works with every meat!.

Babeque sauce

BARBEQUE SAUCE
1 12 ounce can Classic Coke - for sweet sauce
1 12 oz can of beer- for tangy sacue
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
hot pepper sauce to taste

In saucepan, combine all ingredients!.
Bring to a boil!.
Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, covered for 30 to 45 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally!.

Strain if desired!. It will be up t you to taste test this along the way to suit your tatses!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
