Any good crock pot recipes out there?!
I am a working mother, by the time I get home at night it is after 6:00pm!. Who wants to make dinner when you get home that late right!?!?!? I love cooking in the crockpot because dinner is ready when i get home, but I am sick of the same old same old!. Anyone have any good ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have the same problem!.!.!.I work as a cook 10 hours a day!.!.!.I can assure you the last thing I feel like doing when I get home is cook lol!.!.!.I am normally a scratch cook!.!.!.but now a day I I have learned to use canned soups as a base for many things!.!.!.roast beef cooked in Cream of mushroom soup!.!.!.is pretty good!.!.!.!.

2poundsground beef(very lean)
1/2 c minced onion
1/2 c minced bell pepper
2 cloves garlic minced
3/4 c bread crumbs
1 egg beaten
1/4 c milk
4 T ketchup
1 t mustard
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
using your hands combine all ingredients (do not over work)
form to the bottom of crock pot
Place on low and cover
mix together 1/4 C ketchup,2 T b sugar,set aside!.!.!.
pour over meat loaf when you get home and let cook another 15 mins
Cabbage rolls
12 large cabbage leaves
1 beaten egg
1/4 C milk
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 lb lean ground beef (turkey works to)
1 C cooked rice
1 8 oz can of tom sauce
1 T brown sugar
1 T lemon juice
1 t Worcestershire sauce
place cabbage leave in a large pot and pour boiling water over them to soften them!.!.!.set aside
combine eggs,milk onion s&p beef and rice!.!.
place about 1/4 C of meat mixture in each cabbage leaf and wrap!.!.!.place seam side down in crock pot!.!.!.
combine the tomato sauce,sugar,lemon juice,Worcestershire

Have you tried chili!. Just brown your meat the night before, and in the morning, put that, canned kidney bean, chili beans or whatever you prefer,chili seasoning, cumin,maybe some tomato paste or whatever you like , throw that in the crockpot and stir a little bit and you will have supper when you get home!. Serve with crackers, frito lay corn chips and cheese if you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 large carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 large ribs celery, coarsely chopped
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
4 cloves garlic, peeled
2 pounds ground beef
2 cans 14 1/2 oz each diced tomatoes
2 cups beef broth
3 tbs tomato paste
2 tsp sugar
15 1/2 oz can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 tsp each dried Italian seasoning and salt
1 tsp red pepper flakes
FOR SERVING
1 pound rigatoni, cooked
Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Place carrots, celery, onion and garlic in a food processor, pulse until finely chopped!. In a large bowl, mix vegetables, beef, tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, sugar and beans!. Add half of each: Italian seasoning, salt and pepper flakes!. Stir until combined!.
Place mixture in a slow cooker and cook 5 1/2 hours on high or 8 1/2 hours on low!. Stir in remaining Italian seasoning, salt and pepper flakes!. Cook for an additional 30 min!.
FOR 8 SERVINGS---Toss half the meat sauce with rigatoni, serve with cheese if desired!. Reserve other half of the sauce for future meals!. May be frozen, tightly covered for up to 2 months!. MAKES 12 CUPS!.*Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've tried the SlowCooker Roast, but mostly, I use my crockpot to cook pinto beans!. Avoid those frozen slow-cooker prepackaged dinners - they're nasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
1/2 cup diced onions
1/2 cup diced celery
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 (14-ounces) can tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp
Green onions, for garnish
Preheat crock pot on high!.
In fry pan, heat olive oil!. Add peppers, onions and celery!. Cook until softened!. Add chili powder and saute until caramelized!. Remove from heat and pour into crock pot!. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire, white sugar, salt and pepper!.
Cook for 3 hours!. Add shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes!. Serve over rice!. Top with chopped green onions!.

8 large Creole or Beefsteak tomatoes, cored
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons honey
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon liquid crab boil
2 lemons, halved
2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 ear of sweet corn, blanched and kernels removed
1/2 cup small diced tomatoes
1/2 cup small diced Vidalia onions
1/4 cup black olives, pitted and halved
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chervil leaves
8 sprigs of fresh chervil
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil!. Using a sharp knife, make a small X on the bottom of each whole tomato!. Place the tomatoes in the boiling water and cook for 1 minute!. Remove and place in a bowl of ice water!. Cool the tomatoes completely!. Remove from the water and peel the skin off each tomato!. Quarter each tomato 3/4 of the way to the bottom!. Remove the seeds!. Place the tomatoes in a large glass pan!. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper!. In a small mixing bowl whisk together the oil, mustard and honey!. Season with salt and pepper!. Pour the marinade over each tomato!. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours!. Remove from the refrigerator and pour off the marinade into a medium size bowl!. In a saucepan, add the crab boil and lemons!. Bring the mixture to a boil!. Add the shrimp!. Cover and remove from the heat!. Allow the shrimp to sit in the water for 8 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and tails curl completely!. Remove from the water and cool completely!. Add the shrimp, corn, diced tomatoes, onions, olives, chervil and garlic to the bowl of marinade!. Mix well!. Season with salt and pepper!. Place the tomato in the center of each serving plate!.
