Can you exchange baking power for baking soda!?

Sometimes it will work OK!. If a recipe calls or baking soda, there will be some acidic ingredient in the recipe to activate the baking soda!. Baking powder, which is basically 2 parts cream of tartar and one part baking soda, already has the acidic ingredient necessary to activate the baking soda, which is the cream of tartar!.
You can eliminate the acidic ingredient!. For example, butter milk can be replaced with regular milk!. Then the baking powder will work just fine!.

no you can't!. Soda is a chemical reactor that works with other agents, but powder is a rising agent!. Not the same at all!. If you use powder your recipe won't work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
