I don't know about a bottle but you can bake a cake in a canning jar!. Fill the jar 3/4 full and bake until a tooth pick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean!. After the cake has cooled put the lid and ring on!. It would be much easier to get the cake out of a jar than a bottle!. You can also bake in a can, which might be safer in the mail!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jeanie's got it right, works best if you can find a jar with the neck larger than the base!. That way you can run a knife around the edge & the cake falls right out!. My Grandmother did this for her sons during WWII!. She also used oatmeal boxes!. I'm not sure what the trick was to keep them from burning in the oven!. Possibly made them damp first!?!? My uncles talked about how welcome they were when they were in the service & army field food was poorWww@FoodAQ@Com

hmm!.!.!.im sure you could do that!.
but you couldnt use a plastic bottle because it would obviously melt!.!.
so i bet if u put cake ingredients in a glass bottle!.!.that would work!.

but since a bottle is alot smaller than a cake pan!.!.!.u'd have 2 shorten the ingredents!.!.!.like if it said two eggs!.!.
u'd put prolly a half egg!.

so try it out!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dont even try it!. The glass would break, it's not meant to withstand high temperatues!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
