also i heard you can only marinate it for a couple hours why is that!?

This marinade works well with beef, chicken, and pork as well!.

Salt and pepper
2 tablespoon Brown sugar
4 Garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoon Basil
4 tablespoons Lemon juice
8 tablespoons Olive oil
8 tablespoons Soy sauce
4 Salmon steaks

Salt and pepper salmon!. Combine other ingredients in a glass baking dish!. Add salmon to baking dish, turning steaks to coat them well!.

Marinate in fridg!.

Grill or broil until fish flakes easily!.

Salmon Marinade
Juice of 1 Lemon, lime, orange
2 TBSPN Soy Sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
salt - just a pinch
pepper - about 1/2 tspn
2 cloves garlic minced fresh ginger minced - about 4 slices chili flakes - about 1/2 tspn

Combine all ingredients and marinate salmon for 1 hour - no longer or salmon will start to cook!.

If salmon starts to turn pink remove from marinade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I found a great marinane for salmon or chicken in the salad dressing section of the grocery store!. It's called Chardonney Citrus (or Citrus Chardonney) and it's great as a salad dressing or a marinade!. I marinade the meat in it for about 30-45 minutes!. No more!. the way my mom does it makes it a little difficult to explain!.!.!.

she adds curry, lots of lemon, pepper, salt, garlic, onion, turmeric powder, vietnamese fish sauce, tiny bit of soysauce and a bunch of random stuff!.!.!.

my family is extremely lazy so my mom marinades the night before and it stays in the fridge for the like atleast 12 hours!.

Only for a little while, because if it's anything with acid in it (anything citrusy) it'll actually cook the fish, even when in the fridge!. It's easy to just bake it in the oven with some basic Italian dressing on it, in a foil packet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

One of the easies marinates, is olive oil, chopped garlic,chopped parsley, salt and pepper!. You can do this from one day to another but do not keep the salmon more than 3 days in your fridge!.

teriyaki sauce!. if you're in a hurry 2 hours is okay!. if you decide to marinate it longer than 2 hours for more flavor it has to be refrigerated and no more than 24 hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use a mixture of dijon mustard and soy sauce - YUMMY! I don't know of a limited time it can be marinated!. I let mine sit a few hours at the most and then sautee or bake it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
