I discovered the best way to cook a steak indoors is in the toaster oven! I think it gives the 'broil' a better chance than in the oven!. Broil by nature is always done at the highest temperature!. It's great if you like your meat rare if your steak is thick enough!. Broil on one side about 5-7 minutes, flip over and do the same!. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Take the steaks out and leave them sitting for about 5-10 minutes (cover will a pan lid or foil), flip if you like!. This lets the juices redistribute so when you cut it, it stays in the steak and not on your plate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Make sure to let the steaks sit out for 30 minutes prior to broiling!. Position rack on the Upper shelf, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little Chile powder!. Cook about 7-8 minutes per side for medium rare!. Use a meat thermometer to check for proper temperature!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
-Get the broiler nice and hot (450-500)!.
-Place steaks on a rack on a pan!.
-Season steaks generously with salt, pepper, worceshire sauce, etc, etc (depending on what you like)!.
-Let the seasoning set in for several minutes and then put in the broiler!.
-Some people flip their steaks, I don't, it's up to you!.
-Let the steaks rest for several minutes before cutting so the juices settle
-Enjoy!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Broiling is to be done hot and fast on the upper rack!. About 6-7 minutes on both sides for medium rare!. BBQ on the grill is the best way to go, but the broiler is the next best thing!. BTW broiling is not for tough cuts of meat!. Roasting or braising is for tougher cuts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
