2/3 cup milk + 1/3 cup melted butter = substitute for 1 cup heavy cream in cooked dishes!. You can't substitute it for whipping!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The main purpose of the heavy cream is for thickening!. If you happen to have it, combine a small amount of cornstarch( about 2 teaspoons) with cold soy to get that thickening effect!. Make sure to put in some butter also for a creamy texture and taste, but don't overdo it on the cornstarch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes use soy milk I sub lots of things but mainly i use non fat evaporated milk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
