Crock Pot Chicken Cacciatore

1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
3 lb!. whole fryer chicken, cut up into pieces
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 green bell pepper, sliced in strips
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1/2 tsp!. garlic powder
1/4 tsp!. salt
3/4 tsp!. thyme

1!. Heat Italian dressing in a large skillet over medium/high heat!.
2!. Add chicken and cook until browned on both sides!.
3!. Meanwhile, place onions and peppers in crock pot!.
4!. Layer cooked chicken over the onion and peppers!.
5!. Combine tomatoes with salt, garlic powder and thyme; pour over top of chicken!.
6!. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 5 hours)!.
7!. Serve over cooked rice or wide noodles!.

Crock Pot Meatball Hodgepodge

1 lb!. ground beef
? cup chopped onions
2 Tbsp!. plain bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
Dash of black pepper
1 Tbsp!. vegetable oil
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups water
6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 cups baby carrots
1 can green peas, drained*
1 Tbsp!. cornstarch

1!. Lightly coat the interior of crock pot with cooking spray!.
2!. Place water, bouillon cubes, potatoes, as well as carrots
in a crock pot, cover and turn heat setting to High!.
3!. Combine ground beef, egg, onions, pepper, along with bread
crumbs in a large bowl and form mixture into 1-inch balls!.
4!. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add meatball!.
5!. Cook meatballs until lightly browned on all sides; drain well!.
6!. Add meatballs to crock pot and turn heat setting to Low; stir
7!. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours or until potatoes and carrots
are tender!.
8!. During last 30 minutes of cooking time, add green beans, turn
heat setting to High and leave uncovered!.
9!. Dissolve cornstarch in ? cup water, stir into crock pot and allow liquid to thicken; stir often!.

4 cans pork and beans
1/4 cup dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup ketchup

1 Tbsp!. mustard
1 lb!. smoked sausage, cut to 1/2" slices
1/4 cup water
Cooking spray

1!. Lightly coat the inside of crock pot with cooking spray!.
2!. Turn crock pot heat setting to High!.
3!. Place all ingredients as listed about into a crock pot; stir to mix!.
4!. Turn heat setting down to low and let cook for 3 to 4 hours; stirring occasionally!.
5!. Serve with warm corn bread!.

1 lb!. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 cans diced or stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
? cup water
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can chili beans, undrained
2 cans red beans, drained and rinsed
1 Tbsp!. brown sugar
1 tsp!. Cajun spice
? tsp!. dried sage (optional)
? tsp!. ground cumin or chili powder
? cup (4 oz!.) uncooked macaroni or instant rice
4 oz!. shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Cooking spray

1!. Brown crumbled meat in a large skillet over medium heat!.
2!. Add onions, along with green pepper and continue to cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender; drain well!.
3!. Meanwhile, coat the interior of a crock pot with cooking spray!.
4!. Place all other ingredients, except macaroni, in crock pot set on High heat setting; stir to mix!.
5!. Stir in drained meat mixture and reduce heat setting to Low!.
6!. Cover and allow to cook for 6 to 8 hours; stirring occasionally!.
7!. Cook macaroni or rice per package directions!.
8!. Add to crock pot 1/2 hour before end of cooking time or place in bowls and ladle chili mixture over top!.

Sweet and Sour Crock Pot Chicken

1-2 lbs!. boneless, skinless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 onion, cut in half and thinly sliced
1 stalk celery, diced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp!. apple cider vinegar
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium yellow pepper, chopped
1 large can pineapple chunks, liquid reserved
2 Tbsp!. cornstarch

1!. Place chicken pieces, onions, and celery to crock pot!.
2!. Combine brown sugar, soy sauce and vinegar before pouring over chicken in crock pot!.
3!. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 3 ? to
4 hours)!.
4!. During last 30 minutes of cooking time, blend cornstarch with reserved pineapple liquid and pour into crock pot!.
5!. Add pineapple chunks and pepper!.
6!. Cook, uncovered for 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened and peppers are tender
7!. Serve over cooked rice!.

Shrimp Creole

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
1/2 cup diced onions
1/2 cup diced celery
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 (14-ounces) can tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp
Green onions, for garnish

Preheat crock pot on high!.
In fry pan, heat olive oil!. Add peppers, onions and celery!. Cook until softened!. Add chili powder and saute until caramelized!. Remove from heat and pour into crock pot!. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire, white sugar, salt and pepper!.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Ingredients-
2 (10!.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 1/4 cups water
5 1/2 pounds pot roast

Preparations-
In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water!. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture!.

Chicken and Sausage Cacciatore
Brown a pound of sweet Italian sausage and a pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast!.
Put in crock pot!.
Add 1-2 sliced onion, 2 sliced green bell peppers, 1-2 pounds sliced fresh mushrooms!.
Cover with your favorite spaghetti sauce!.
Cook on low 6-8 hours!.

Easy Crock Pot Chile
Drain and rinse 2-3 cans pinto beans!.
Add 2 chopped onions!.
You can add a pound of browned ground meat or more beans if you want vegetarian!.
Add 2 large cans whole tomatoes (I like to squish them into my chile so I have some chunks)!. Don't add all of the liquid!.
For seasoning I add garlic, seasoned salt, cumin, chili powder, chopped green chili, one chipotle chile (more than that makes it too smokey-flavored)!. Add as much or as little spice to your taste!.
Cook on low 6-8 hours!.

Three Packet Roast
Put roast in crock pot!.
Sprinkle one packet brown gravy mix, one packet Italian dressing mix, and one packet ranch dressing mix!.
Pour one cup of water over it!.
You can add carrots, celery, potatos, onions!.

Pulled Pork

1-tbsp vegetable oil
2-onions, finely chopped
6-cloves garlic, minced
1-tbsp chili powder
1-tsp cracked black peppercorns
1-cup tomato based chili sauce
?-cup packed brown sugar
?-cup cider vinegar
1-tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1-tsp liquid smoke
1-3lb boneless pork shoulder roast, trimmed of excess fat
Large Kaiser buns

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat
Add onions and cook until soft
Add garlic, chili powder, and pepper
Cook, stirring for 1 minute
Add the chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire and liquid smoke
Stir to combine and bring to a boil
Place pork in slow cooker and pour sauce over
Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 6 hours until pork is falling apart
Transfer the pork to a cutting board
With two forks, start pulling the pork apart until it is shredded
Return to sauce and keep warm until ready to serve
Spoon shredded pork and sauce over buns

Chickpea Stew

21/2-cups dried chickpeas
11/2-cups chopped onion
2-medium carrots, julienne style
1/2-tsp dried basil
1/4-tsp pepper
51/2-cups water
1lb stewing beef, cut into 1/2" cubes
11/2-tsp cooking oil
1-14oz can of tomatoes, drained and reserve juice
1-tbsp beef bouillon powder
1-tsp salt
3-tbsp all-purpose flour

Combine the first 6 ingredients in slow cooker
Brown beef quickly in hot cooking oil in a frying pan
Add to slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours
Add tomatoes, bouillon powder, and salt
Slowly whisk tomato juice into flour in a small bowl
Stir into slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or on high for 1 hour
Stir before serving

Take a pork butt or shoulder, season with salt, pepper and brown sugar, into the crock on low for about 3 hours, dump a Coke on it, let it sit another hour!. take the meat out and put into a bowl and shred with two forks or cut into chunks and put into food processor and shred!. Mix the shredded meat with BBQ sauce, return to crock (drain the juice out of the crock) mix well and heat through!. Serve with crusty rolls and pickles!.

We also love this, though I make the dumplings with Bisquick!. I also saute some carrots, onions and celery in some butter and flour and add to it!. And I dice up the chicken and I don't cover with water I use Chicken broth

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS

INGREDIENTS
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10!.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces

DIRECTIONS
Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover!.
Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High!. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker!. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center!.


OR

You can also do lasagna in a crock pot, just make you sauce extra thick and break the noodles up, layer sauce in the bottom to start!. Every time my hubby's office has a pot luck they insist he bring this, it really is good!. I wing it but if you need an exact recipe you'll find one on allrecipes!.com just search "crock pot lasagna"!. By the way, it cooks really fast, I go low for about 3-4 hours!. And the noodles go in UNCOOKED, just regular ones, no need for the "no bake ones"Www@FoodAQ@Com

*Apple Ginger Pork

4? lb (2kg) pork leg, bone removed
2 tsp butter, melted
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup onion, finely diced
1 cup apple, grated
1 tsp ginger, crushed

Combine in a bowl, all the ingredients except the pork!.
Place this stuffing in the middle of the pork leg and roll up!. Secure with butchers twine or suitable cooking string!.Put in the Crock Pot and cook for 6 to 7 hours on low or 3 to 3? hours on high!.
#Notes-Cook with rind on, it will help maintain moisture!.
Use what ever size piece of pork will fit in you crock pot and feed the family!.Remove rind before slicing!.Fantastic as a cold cut!.

*Crock Pot Hearty Wheat Berry Breakfast

1 C!. wheat berries, rinsed and drained
2 - 2-1/2 C!. apple juice
1/2 C!. chopped apricots
1/4 C!. raisins
1/2 t!. ground cinnamon
1/4 t!. ground allspice
1/4 t!. ground cloves
1/4 t!. ground cardamom

Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick spray!. Place everything in the Crock-Pot, stir, cover and cook on low 8-10 hours, or all night!. Serve with milk or soy milk!.

*Smoked Pork & Sauerkraut Crock Pot Recipe

2 lbs boneless smoked pork shoulder
2 (14!.50 ounces) cans sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
2 medium onions, sliced
1 (8!.00 ounces) can tomatoes, cut up
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon paprika
1-1/2 teaspoons caraway seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Place onion in crockpot; place pork on top!. Combine drained sauerkraut, tomatoes (undrained), bay leaf, caraway seed, paprika, and pepper; pour over pork!. Cover; cook on LOW heat setting 8 hours!. Remove bay leaf; remove pork to platter and cover to keep warm!. Skim fat from surface of sauerkraut mixture!. Transfer sauerkraut mixture to a large saucepan!. Combine water and cornstarch; stir into sauerkraut mixture and heat until thickened and bubbly!. Stir in sour cream (optional), if desired!. Serve with sliced pork!.

*Chicken Bacon Swiss Melts Crock Pot Recipe

1 box stuffing mix
About 4 tablespoons water
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
12 slices raw bacon
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
6 slices Swiss cheese

Spray crockpot with cooking spray!. Place the stuffing mix on the bottom, add flavor packet!. Sprinkle with water!. Wrap each frozen breast with 2 slices of bacon!. Place on top of the stuffing mix !. Pour can of soup over top of chicken!. Cook on LOW for 7 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 5 to 7 hours!. Place cheese slices on top to melt 15 minutes before serving!.

*Crockpot Poached Salmon Steaks

4 salmon steaks or 2 fillets
1/2 pint water
1/4 pint white wine
1 teaspoon salt
2 bay leaves
2 peppercorns
1 sprig fresh rosemary
fresh oregano or thyme
1 slice onion
1 sprig fresh parsley

Lightly grease the bottom of the slow cooker, then place the salmon steaks (or fillets) in the bottom!.
Put the remaining ingredients in a pan and heat until boiling!. Pour over the salmon, put the lid on the slow cooker and cook at Low for approximately 3 hours!.Serve hot, or cold with a salad!.

*Southern Barbecued Pork Crock Pot

2 onions, sliced
1 (4 to 5 pound) pork roast
5 to 6 cloves
2 cups water
16 ounces barbecue sauce
1 large onion, chopped

Put 1 sliced onion in bottom of crockpot, then add meat, cloves and water!. Put second sliced onion on top!. Cover and cook overnight or 8 to 10 hours on LOW!. Remove bone and fat from meat!. Put meat back in crockpot!. Add chopped onion and barbecue sauce!. Cover and cook an additional 1 to 3 hours on HIGH or 4 to 8 hours on LOW, stirring 2 or 3 times!. Serve on large buns!.

*Easy Fruit Crumble Crock Pot Recipe

----Fruit----
Large Tin - approx 2lb (825g) peach halves
Medium Tin - approx 1lb (450g) pineapple pieces!.
2 tbls apricot Conserve (Jam)
1 tsp rum
-----Topping----
1 cup (90g) bread crumbs
2 tbls all-purpose flour (plain flour)
1/3 cup desiccated coconut (or shredded)
3 oz (90g) butter
1 tbls honey

Drain fruits and reserve ? cup of juice!.Put fruit in Crock Pot!.Combine reserved ? juice with all other fruit ingredients and add to crock pot!.Cover and cook for 5-6 hours on low!.
---For the topping!. Melt butter and honey together!. Either in a small pan on the stove top or for a few seconds in the Microwave!.Next combine all topping ingredients in a bowl, stir to distribute butter evenly!.Sprinkle the topping on top of the fruit!.Cover and cook for a further 2 hours on High!.Serve with your choice of cream, custard and ice-cream!.

*Beef Pot Roast with Sour Cream

4 to 5 pound lean chuck roast
1 clove garlic, mashed
salt and pepper to taste
1 large carrot, chopped
1 rib celery, chopped
1 small onion, sliced
3/4 c!. sour cream mixed with 3 Tbs!. flour and 1/2 cup dry white wine

Rub roast with garlic and season with salt and pepper!. Place in the Crockpot and add chopped carrot, celery, and sliced onion!. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours!. Add sour cream mixture 30 to 40 minutes before done!. Serve with hot cooked noodles!.

*CROCK POT CHICKEN CASSEROLE

4 lg!. chicken breasts
1 sm!. can cream of chicken soup
1 sm!. can cream of celery soup
1 sm!. can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c!. diced celery
1 c!. Minute Rice

Mix in crock pot the soups and rice!. Place chicken on top of mixture, then sprinkle diced celery over chicken!.Cook on low for 4 hours!.

*CROCK POT ROAST STICKY CHICKEN

4 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large roasting chicken
1 cup chopped onion

In a small bowl, thoroughly combine all the spices!. Remove giblets from chicken, clean the cavity well and pat dry with paper towels!.Rub the spice mixture into the chicken, both inside and out, making sure it is evenly distributed and down deep into the skin!. Place in a resealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate overnight!. When ready to cook chicken put the onions into the cavity, put the chicken into thecrockpot and do not add any liquid (as the cooking process goes on it will produce it's own juices)!.Cook on low 8 to 10 hours!.

*CROCK POT COMPLETE DINNER

2 to 3 lbs!. cube steak, browned
6 med!. potatoes, peeled & sliced
2 (12 oz!.) jars Heinz brown gravy

Layer meat and potatoes, adding gravy to each layer!. Top with gravy!.Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours or high 3 to 4 hours!. Season as desired!. Serve with side dish vegetables!.

3 pounds pork chops
2 cups orange juice
2 cans mandarin oranges drained -- (11 oz!.)
1 can pineapple tidbits drained -- (8 oz!.)
Salt and pepper

Salt and pepper pork chops and put in a crockpot; cover with orange juice!.Cook on high 3 to 4 hours or on low 6 to 8 hours!.About 30 minutes before serving add the oranges and pineapple just to warm!. Serve with rice or noodles!.
