I don't quite understand what you're asking - a weight equivalent or what is a cream cheese substitute!? 8 ounces is half of a pound and you have half of a pound of cream cheese!. It's also equal to 16 tablespoons of cream cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just get the package and it should say how much the box weighs get enough boxes to make 18 oz!. Normally the box will have increments of 2 oz so i shouldn't be to hard!. Hope this helps!.

Im guessing your making a cheese cake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is the larger of the two sizes sold as a block!. The 3 oz is about a 3 inch square and the 8 ounce is about 3 by 5 inches!.

It is also half a pound, or about a cup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's considered a block of cream cheese !.!.!. and is the amount that most recipes call for (although some call for the small 3 oz pkg) !.!.!.!.all cream cheese brands (even storebrand) have the 8 oz!. size !.!.!.!.!.but I'm not really sure what you're asking about here!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ya the measurement of weight should be right on the package!.!. just buy the 8oz container (half pound)!. As the above poster said, its the standard size for most brands like Philadelphia!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the block of cream cheese from Philly brand is that exact sizeWww@FoodAQ@Com
