Avocados and ripeness?!


Question: Avocados and ripeness!?
How ripe is too ripe!?!?!? Can an avocado actually go bad and how can I tell when!?!?!? Thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

a perfect avocado will be firm, but not hard!. if you squeeze gently, there will be a little give!. i never select an avocado with the stem out of it either, they tend to rot fast (sometimes you can even see white fuzz starting there)!. if an avocado is squishy, it's bad!.!.!. otherwise, it's hard to tell and you sometimes have to cut them open to see!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

too ripe is when you can easily squish it with your hands and when you cut it it will have brown spots inside
it should be soft yet firm to the touchWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you can cut into them toss them in the trash as they are too ripe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
