Cooking mince? Do you need oil in the pan?!

Question: Cooking mince!? Do you need oil in the pan!?
Answers:
I wouldn't!. Don't have the pan too hot or the mince will burn!. Once some fat has "melted" out off the meat you could turn the pan up a little so that the mince frys rather than boils in the fat and water that has seeped out!. Be sure to drain the fat off before adding the other ingredients!.

Once the fat has been drained off you could add a little olive oil if you were wanting to fry other ingredients with the mince!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no you don't, mince normally has a lot of fat in it and it drips out of the mince

just keep stirring it and drain the fat when the mince is cookedWww@FoodAQ@Com

Probably not!. Mince has enough fat in it to cope - this is the way my mum does mince!. However, I always add a little olive oil, and I have no problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no u dnt, bt u do need to stir to avoid it catching to the bottom of the pot!. I use a lil water instead of oilWww@FoodAQ@Com

Thats a big no no in my book re: 1st answerWww@FoodAQ@Com
