What is the perfect romantic dinner to make?!
In less then a month it is my husband and my first anniversary, and we are kinda broke, so instead of going out for an expensive dinner, I told him we would buy some wine, champagne, and I would make him a fabulous dinner!. I know the wine, I know the champagne!.!.!.!.and I also know that I am not the best cook in the world!. I'm only 22, and have mastered very little in the kitchen!. I get very nervous cooking meat/seafood because I'm never sure if it is thoroughly cooked!.
So any ideas on a perfect and lovely dinner that is not ridiculously hard to cook!?!?
ps - take into mind that I refuse to eat tomatos currently because of the recent salmonella outbreak!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say that pasta is always the most romantic idea and really easy too!.
Groceries list:
Alfredo sauce (best if it is Ragu)
frozen chicken breasts
pasta of your choice (I would choose between linguine and butterflies/farfalle)
salt and pepper
italian bread
olive oil
garlic
grated Parmesan cheese
Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper then put them on a pan over medium heat with a few table spoons of olive oil until you cut into them and they are not hard or raw!. Put the pasta on boiling water with a few pinches of salt(put the lit on so it comes to a boil faster) until you taste one and its not hard!. When both things are done, cut the chicken and put it with the pasta and add the alfredo sauce!. To make it look really fancy you can spread some dry parsley leaves!. Take the garlic and mash it, then brush the bread with olive oil and the mashed garlic (you can put some butter if you want)!. Keep
the Parmesan cheese close to eat it together!.
This would go really good with a Caesar salad as a starter!. Try to use creamy Caesar dressing with fresh romaine and the Parmesan cheese!.
The best and most simple dessert would be, strawberries with melted chocolate (which you can buy already melted and then just heated up)!. Be sure to buy sticks to put the strawberries on if you want it to be more fancy!. You can also put some whipped cream as well for the strawberries and mash mellows if you have a sweet tooth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well if you can afford wine and champagne as well the food you are going to cook, you can probably afford to go out to a restaurant and eat for your anniversary!. Its not like you have to go to Benihanna to eat!. If you both understand that you are poor, then why not pick a place even if a cheap place to go out to eat!. Then you have the memory of being able to say 20 years later we were so poor we ate out at !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!."captain Ds" lol!. ahhhh those were the dayz!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Fresh fruit to feed each other!. My guy likes pasta!. I am making lasagna with breadsticks and a salad!. Congrats! Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com
a dessert idea that's very cheap and couldn't possibly be simpler - pudding pie!.
use any type of instant pudding and follow the directions for the pie version of it!.!.!. and put it in a ready-made shell, like graham or oreo!.!.!. depending on what flavor you use, you can add things like banana slices, crushed oreos, some cool whip spread on top and sprinkled with mini-chips (don't have to be chocolate, try butterscotch!)
if you want to be a little classier, try fresh strawberries - they're wonderful with champagne, and you could have some of them chocolate dipped, or just some cool whip for dip!.
for dinner, i'd probably buy a few crab legs (precooked - you can find it for about $8/lb) and just heat them up by steaming!.!.!. and i'd make some fresh steamed broccoli and maybe some garlic cheese biscuits (like they serve at red lobster) - the recipe for those is on the box of bisquick!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A romantic dinner isn't just about the food!. Creating an atmosphere of flirtation, seduction that explodes into raw passion can enhance any meal you want to make!. Keep in mind that heavy meals will result in you both wanting to take a nap instead of celebrating in bed! Here are some ideas:
1!. Create a meal that you can cook in an apron and not much more!. A salad of baby greens, candied pecans, blue or goat cheese, and sliced fresh pears with a champagne vinagrette is great to eat from each other's forks!.
2!. Include your man in the kitchen activities!. Can he stir, dip, nibble or taste!?
3!. Keep in mind what he loves to eat!. I'd consider grilled london broil (you can get this on sale and marinate it overnight in a mixture of red wine, soy sauce, rosemary, oregano, garlic, and olive oil); twice baked potatos, and fresh asparagas!.
4!. Not into red meat!? Consider roasting a whole chicken with herbs and serving it with sour cream mashed potatos and fresh green beans!.
5!. An easy, elegant dish might also be: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 1 can chopped artichoke hearts (drain and reserve liquid), 1 4oz container feta cheese, 1 tsp thyme, 1 T chopped parsley, 1 T dijon mustard, and 1/2 cup white wine!. Season the breasts with salt and pepper and make a pocket in the thickest part!. Mix chopped artichoke hearts with feta, 1/2 tsp thyme and 1/2 T parsley!. Stuff 1/4th of the mixture in each breast!. Place in baking dish and cover!. Bake for 45 minutes or until juices run clear!. Remove breasts and place on serving platter!. In baking dish, add wine, reserved artichoke liquid, mustard, remaining thyme and parsley!. Bring to a boil, scraping up cooked bit!. Cook until mixture has reduced and thickened!. Spoon over breasts!. Serve with wild rice pilaf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
