3 tiers cakes?!
Hi, I am thinking of getting a 3 tier cake for my son's birthday!. But I was wondering how do you actually cut the cake!? And how do you serve it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Cut it very carefully, with a sharp knife using gentle sawing motions!. If you bear a lot of weight on the knife, all the filling/icing between the layers will just squish out!
If you are cutting thick pieces, you can try to make them stand up on the plate; but the easiest way is to lift it a little with a pie server or knife, slowly bring the piece towards you!. With a plate in your left hand and your cake on the knife in the other (or the other way around if you're left handed), tilt the plate towards the cake, make about an 80 degree angle, then gently "plop" down the cake onto the plate!. You'll be able to see the layers and it will look really nice!
Happy birthday to your son and good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
