Wait!.!.!. he put salt in the liquid ice cream, that has the milk, vanilla, eggs, etc!?! ROFLOL Yes, you may as well give up!. It won't be edible and probalby will not freeze at any temperature you can achieve at home!.

Lemon Pineapple Sherbet

This wonderful recipe came from Kentucky around the turn of the last century!.

2 quarts whole milk
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring until well blended!. When you add the lemon juice, the sherbet will appear to curdle, but that is not a problem!. If he put the salt into the actual CREAM MIXTURE, nope, it's ruined!.!.!.throw it away!.

If he put salt in the ice around the pan, that is what he is supposed to do!. About 1part salt to 3 parts ice!.

Fill the container up to about 1/3 the height of the can with ice, then put in about 1 cup salt!. Then alternate!.!.!.4 cups ice to 1/3 cup salt!.!.!.until you get to the fill level of the can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mmmm!.!.!.!. kay!. Sounds like you just ruined your ice cream!.

Salty ice cream!.!.!.yum yum! The salt is suposed to go on the ice around the pan!. The salt causes the ice to melt more rapidly thus dropping the temperature around the canister which causes the mixture inside the canister to freeze!.!.!. voila' ice cream!!!

Dump that mess out and start all over again!.

The ice cream mix wont freeze because of the salt content in the mixture; thats why its been running for an hour and hasnt done anything!Www@FoodAQ@Com

OH NO! that is unfortunate! My kids and I made cinnamon icecream the other day!. I found the recipe on Allrecipes!.com!. I've included the link below!. IT was yummy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't put the salt in the ice cream mix!. You put it around the surrounding metal pan only!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
