I don't know about the dishwasher, but there is a really simple way to make a great steamed fish without wasting too much money or time!.
You'll need garlic, shallots, ginger, chillies, light soy sauce, salt n pepper(if desired, since chillies alone are adequate to set fire to your mouth) and spring onions, a little of vegetable oil or olive oil(dont know if it works since i dont use olive oil in my cooking) and of course, fish!. I prefer to use white promfret or eel!.
First, clean the fish, remove the innards, etc, make incisions along its side, rub salt and pepper on it and place it on a shallow plate (a baking tin is recommended), then leave it while you chop up all the ingridients above!. Once all the ingredients are chopped, just place all of them on the fish, making sure they stay on the fish, and not falling all around it!. After that, drizzle oil and soy sauce (a lot of it!) until you're satisfied!. Then, just steam it!. You'll know its done when the eyes turn white and pop out!. Otherwise, just leave for 45 minutes to an hour or so!. Its simple and easy, yet cheap to make!.
If you like, you can add some other ingredients such as mushrooms or toufu!.!.!. Its up to your imagination, really!Www@FoodAQ@Com
