Question: Ello have u gt ideas what to put in mash to give it a bit flavour!?
Answers:
bbq sauce just trust me for a secWww@FoodAQ@Com

The simple way to get a great flavour is to add a good amount of real butter and cream, and season well with salt and pepper!. With this as a base, you can't go wrong!.

Otherwise, you can go in various directions!. I love to roast a few cloves of garlic in the oven, then mash them into the potatoes!. I also love to add a handful of grated cheese!. You could also soften a thinly sliced leek in a little olive oil then mash them in!. I've heard of people adding wholegrain mustard to mash, but I haven't tried this myself!. Personally I would never add onion to mash, but if you make a sauce which is oniony (like onion gravy - which I make with a hint of vinegar) then it goes really well!.

I've also made a lovely pea and mint mash!. Boil about the same volume of frozen peas as you have potato, then drain and mash them together!. Add plenty of fresh mint leaves (I add a small handful for 2 people), and season!. I find this easier to do with a hand blender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
