What should I put on homemade french fries?!

Question: What should I put on homemade french fries!?
What temp!. should I cook them on!? I did this with sweet potatoes, but those were thinner strips than these are going to be!. I'm thinking for seasoning, seasoned salt & pepper, maybe some balsamic vinegar!. But do I put the vinegar on at the end, or bake them the whole time with it on!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I usually do salt pepper garlic powder and some chilli powder or paprika for color!! I either sprinkle it on top, or dump potatoes, seasoning and a little EVOO in a plastic bake and shake it up, then bake at 375 until they are done!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use Chipotle chili powder, salt & pepper, here is my recipe:

Chipotle Chile Fries

6 - 8 Yukon Gold Potatoes
1 tbs Chipotle Chile Powder
2 tsp red & black pepper seasoning
1 tsp kosher salt
2 - 4 tbs olive oil
15 x 10 stoneware baking pan
Turn oven to 425 degrees!. Place stoneware
baking pan in oven to heat the pan!.

Wash potatoes!. Cut in half, cut each half in
quarters!. In batches microwave in a single layer
for 2 minutes!. Place in bowl and drizzle each
batch with a little olive oil

Mix seasoning ingredients!. Sprinkle over potatoes
a little at a time, stir potatoes and season until all
potatoes are coated!.

When the oven is ready, take pan out of oven
and slowly pour the potatoes on the hot stoneware
pan!. With a spatula spread the potatoes evenly!.
The potatoes will sizzle immediately, this is
a good thing!

Set timer for 20 minutes!. Remove potatoes, set
on hot pad, Stir potatoes and turn!. Return to oven
and cook 15 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I bake mine, with seasoned salt!. I also use an oil spray, like you use to make a pan non-stick (but all natural)!. It makes the outsides a little crispier!.

I prefer Malt Vinegar to balsamic (too sweet), but it's up to your taste!. Definitely sprinkle it on at the end!.

Place your potatoes in a single layer on a cookie sheet!. I usually line mine with non-stick foil!. Roast at 400 degrees!. The length will depend on how many potatoes you're cooking!. I'd try 20 minutes, test, and then add 5-10 minutes at a time!. You don't want them in too long, or the outsides will get tough!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is my secret recipe:

Cut potatoes and put the in a marinating bowl!. Coat them with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), chopped garlic, savory (its a spice) and rosemary!. No butter, no salt!.

Put them in a glass baking sheet at 450 for about 20 minutes!. They are delicious and healthy, very fragrant!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree sprinkle the balsamic vinegar at the end if you are frying them then season with salt and pepper!.
If you bake then then sprinkle on the vinegar before and salt and pepper afterwards and bake or fry until crisp or however you like you french fries!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They will probably end up more crispy if you put the vinegar on before, but if you like the watery feeling on your fries, I'd go with after!. (My husband likes to put malt vinegar on his fries!.)

I would cook at 450 until they are the desired texture!. I like rosemary on mine!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i like mine with hot sauce, ketchup, gravy, or even tartar sauce!. or you can put them on a plate with some melted cheese and chili, sour cream, onions and tomatoes to make chili cheese fries!. that's my favorite!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cook potatoes on 425 for 10 min and sprinkle a little olive oil on top before you cook then when you take them out spinkle salt pepper and season salt lawerys on themWww@FoodAQ@Com

375, salt, possibly white wine vinegar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have to have the oil hot!. The secret is not to turn them!. let them cook when brown turn once!. I use parsley, garlic and spicesWww@FoodAQ@Com

360-375 for the temp!. Season to your taste after cooking!. Baking!? French Fries are not baked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cajun seasoning is so good on fries!. If they're baked can you still call them french fries!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

375oF!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like putting sour cream or onion dipWww@FoodAQ@Com
